Let's see your plasti-dipped parts!!

I don't know why I read the entire thing, but every picture in here sucks.
You officially degraded your car and ruined any value in it.
The up close shot of plasti-dip looks like an unprofessional Macco orange peel paint job.
The entire thing just screams "I'm 16 and I can 'paint' things".

nothing wrong with using clear plasti dip for a clear bra for the winter

Interesting idea I guess. I've seen the clear 3m vinyl and it fades rapidly and changes the color of the car.
Got any up close pics?
Everything so far I've seen looks very textured.

peel it off in spring or spray on glossifier on top of the matt clear plasti dip

Still not sure how I feel about it. I'd like to see how it looks after your road trip and if it protected well.
If it holds up well and doesn't run the clear coat then this still actually has a good use!

I plastidipped my stock wheels a couple years ago and it turned out like ****. I peeled it off and re-plastidipped them and it looked like ****. Plastidip looks like ****.
I guess it's subjective. If you're a perfectionist it's always going to look terrible. If you aren't the type to focus on details then it probably looks amazing.

I have seen some plastidip jobs I like though I prefer it for protecting wheels and paint in the winter. Not bad to see how some colors look before taking the plunge also. The black with a light coat of metalizer looks sick on wheels btw.
