^ too literal.

he just likes the scheme.

but like i said before, 2500 is alot. and when you get a rock chip youll be pulling your hair out.

think about what happens if you get into an accident, or for whatever reason you want to replace a panel.

if the shop is still around that is...

you have to pay them again to print it and when you do,

maybe they switched printers so the color will be different

maybe the ink is different so the color will be different

maybe they use a different material so the color absorbed into the material will be different

dont get me wrong, i really like this idea, but for a show car that gets hauled around in a box and never drives around. Vinyl wrap is a disaster for dd cars, with paint you can use touch up paint, with vinyl you have to replace the panel.

Also, if the vinyl is matte, depending on the material you have to wash your hands before touching it because the oils from your hands are left on the car and it looks like crap, i went to a car show with a matte vinyl rx7 fd and it had fingerprints all over it.

Well, I would be a fool if I didn't listen to the advice of people who know more about these things than I do. If I decide to cancel the install I'll have to ask for my deposit back. If I can't get it, I'm just going to go through with it.

^woah, i check reextreme daily and i just brushed over that article, i didnt like the kit so i didnt bother reading, i thought at first it was just a DG paintjob. That wrap is horrendous.

If you cant get your money back then get a guarantee from them that there wont be obvious bubbles or seams and it wont look like ****, if there are tell them you are getting a refund.

That way when it does look like ****, you get your money back.

I wish i had 2500 to blow on my rx8

Do your homework before further purchases, so you dont waste more money.

^

It doesnt cost much to get the rx8 looking sexy as hell.

Depends on what you want, but if you just want looks... Coilovers are well spent money to dropping the 8, if your tracking the car spend on good coilovers, if you dont plan to track the car just buy some cheap tein basic coilovers for under 1k, and a genuine painted mazdaspeed kit off the forums.

I can't lower the car, there's too many speed bumps where I live.

I understand how that feels, I scrape on stuff every now and then at stock height around here.

After looking at that link above I would be pretty worried about getting this car wrapped in anything at all. Some spots just looked horrible, but I am sure if you are forced(via deposit) to get it done they will make everything perfect. If they force you to get it, do not settle until every bit of the car is seamless and perfectly applied. Go over that thing with a fine toothed comb.

yeah i cant lower mine ONLY because of the ramps getting into the parking deck at school and my home, i almost scrape as it is too.

A mazdaspeed bodykit gives you 131mm clearance in the front, which is about an inch lower than the regular bumper.

After you become aware of speedbumps, its really easy to avoid them and plan ahead.

goodluck on the wrap, and keep us updated, im curious to what your going to do with $2500 if you get your money back!

You said you were young right?

do you have a job?

are you emotionally prepared to buy a new engine if your first one grenades?

leave FI to the emotionally and financially stable.

Is your rx8 your daily driver? i would advise against FI on a daily rx8, if things go wrong you need your car ready to be driving very quickly which leads to alot of $$ bringing it someplace, not to mention your 8year engine warranty goes down the drain.

read the threads on rx8club, i have a feeling if you got your money back, and you spent it on a turbo youd come back and make a thread complaining on a poor choice you made, similar to your bodykit.

rx8club.com saved you $ and headaches from buying that horrendous spoiler
rx8club.com saved you $ and headaches from buying that troublesome wrap
rx8club.com will advise against putting a turbo in your rx8 if you are young, without a stable income, and is your daily driver.

I dont have a FI rx8 to comment on this, but i have read my fair share of horror stories and whatnot from people who jumped into turbocharging a rx8.

The renesis cant handle turbos like a 13BREW can, if you want a turbo rotary just buy a rx7, that way its not your only car and you can be okay with having the car not being able to be driven for months because your fixing it at your leisure.

Yeah, I'm emotionally and financially stable. I'm in the military, single living in the barracks so it is my daily driver, but I don't drive it daily if you catch my drift. I don't think I'm going to put a turbo on it immediately, I want to put the feed replica kit from Shine on it first.

I also bought $350 in LEDs from V-LED and they look amazing, at least the ones that have come so far (mostly inside lights). Mine has the red and black leather interior so I went with all red LEDs.
I just installed the turboXS catback and midpipe (with the help of a friend) and it sounds amazing. My buddy said I'm shooting flames out the back from 1st to 2nd, so two thumbs WAY WAY up

turboxs is one of the loudest catbacks, and one of the loudest midpipes, you should backfire right around 7000-7300rpm so theres no point in pushing it to 8,9k.

on my way home i try to go under as many overpasses as possible to rev it to 7500 and...pop

no midpipe yet though for me, im saving my cash for my future rx7 track build.

PM me to let me know how much shine is asking for the feed front bumper, thats my favorite bumper for the rx8.

If you bring that bumper to the same place you brought your old bodykit and if they tell you the same thing go someplace else, the shine bumper is fine and ive seen it fitted to a rx8 before, the only issues are around the side markers. Its a common problem that plagues every aftermarket bumper for the rx8 with exception of the genuine mazdaspeed. And even those at times have fitment issues somehow.

Finally broke down and snapped a picture today.

I know that top strape is a bit crooked, I gotta fix that...

I really like those rims, they're not flashy but they're not black either.
