Mazda Touch Up Paint (can) any good?
I know most owners received a can of touch up paint for free from Mazda after hey purchased their rx8s... but I didn't ![Frown](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)
I was wondering on the quality of this paint and what results you all have had when using this to touch up scratches both small and large and both surface and deep.
Anyone out there have before and after photos?
I have 1 or 2 small scratches I'd like to try and fix myself. They are very small so I'd hate to have to pay big bucks for repair and at $3 a can.. u cant beat that with a stick!![Smilie](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Thanks in advance...

i picked this up, no pics... but the paint is OEM... so its a perfect match. just dont over do it.
its a great fix for the little nicks on the front bumper ... the cars VR and the touch up paint has the sparkles and everything.
not sure about larger/longer scratches ... but its alike a nail polish style brush

i'd recommend langka especially when using touchup paint from the factory.
Go to "langka.com" for more info.
It reduces the globby aspect of DIY touchup.
And to answer you first question... the touchup paint is in fact OEM but does contain a self hardener (so that it dries quickly...fast).

I'll post before and after pics once I order it, receive it and get to it.
As far as continuing to wait on Mazda for the paint... I really doubt they'll send anything. I've had my car for 1 yr 4 mths +

Langka still requires that you use the touch up paint you get from the dealer; their product makes the paint chip repair look much better then if you were to not use it.
I got the small bottle of "Blob Eliminator" to try and fix some chips I had already touched up about a month ago. The instructions say to wait 2 hours to 4 days after putting the touch up paint on before using the Blob Eliminator. I didn't have high expectations that it would work really well because of how long I had the touch up paint on there.
It took a little but of work but the first one I tried worked great. I can't even tell there was a chip there. The $20 bottle of Blob Eliminator was well worth it and should be enough to do many more chips in the future. I recommend it if you want to fix the rock chips without having it look like you use touch up paint on it.
