Hi guys!
Does anyone know which paint manufacturer Mazda use when producing RX-8's in japan??
Only reason i ask is because i am having a debadged boot lid resprayed in sunlight silver, and i want to get the paint to match as close as possible to the original paintwork.
So by knowing the brand of paint mazda use i can get my bodyshop to source the correct paint.
cheers in advance

Manufacturer makes no difference. (You won't be able to buy the paint directly from Kansai, anyway, though it is a PPG product.)
All reputable paints will have a match (PPG is my favorite, followed by DuPont), but it will be up to the skill of the painter to match the grain of the metallic flake, which is quite a task.

The 3 Hardest colors to match on the 8 are White water pearl / Velocity Red and Canary yellow. I have a WWP car and the body shop managed to match my kit and spoiler no problem.. I would say any decent body shop wont have any issues matching your Silver.
