Sup Guys, sorry.. i dont have time to read all the posts, but could someone tell me..
Is the Mazdaspeed body kit made of fiberglass or Eurethane? Im safely assuming its fiberglass, especially at the prices that peopel are saying.
Also, is their a US Distributor yet for Genuine Mazdaspeed parts?
Thanks guys for your time

Yeah I know, but i have to work and being its really busy here, I just didnt have the time to sit down and filter through the threads.. but I appreciate the thoughts =)
Back to the real topic.. so when you guys say this kit is made of plastic, is that the same as "Eurethane" ? cuz plastic cracks easily..
(..please dont tell me to search , its been a long day =)

Exactly... the kits from Japan will usually list their material as FRP... Fiber Reinforced Plastic...i.e. Fiberglass (Carbon Fiber is also FRP).
As Omicron said, the MS kit is made of the same stuff as the stock bumpers on the 8. You touch that and then go knock on a fiberglass one and tell me which you think will hold up better. Plastic cracking... that's a good one. Don't you know ALL cars use plastic bumpers NOT fiberglass from the factory. If fiberglass was better they'd sure as hell use it because it's lighter and cheaper.
Here's a good example for you... ever own the Fiero that Pontiac sold in the early 90's? It was plastic and fiberglass body. Unlike in the past with the Corvette, GM learned it's lesson about the practicality of fiberglass and stuck with mostly plastic for the body. Just a few pieces were made from fiberglass. Basically you don't want bumpers and side sills made from it... what happens when you jack your car up or take it to the shop and they put it on a lift? What do you think happens when a soccer mom with screaming kids has an "opps" in the parking lot when backing in in front of your car??

Japan8, yeah good one..
Never seen plastic cracking eh? Guess you never seen a Saturn in an accident but of course, thats not plastic.. right...
There are different grades of materials used nowadays, just so you know but of course, ure the expert here.. sorry
and I dont know what your arguing about, no one here said that Fiberglass was better? What thread are you reading ? =)

Well what the hell are you going to make it out of then? Steel? Sheesh...
In your post you seemed to be complaining that the body kit was made of plastic. Well...its either a kind of plastic or a kind of fiberglass, and obviously fiberglass cracks worse than plastic. So what was your point then?

Sorry my initital post wasnt clear, but I took the liberty to copy and paste below
"Back to the real topic.. so when you guys say this kit is made of plastic, is that the same as "Eurethane" ? cuz plastic cracks easily.."
So in other words, all I was asking was what type of plastic was the kit made of, or if it was made of Eurethane. thats all, sorry for the troubles . And Japan answered me. Thanks JDs for your concern.

Guys, I wouldn't rush into buying the fiberglass version yet. I have delt with fiberglass parts before and it is really difficult for a paint shop to prep the fiberglass for paint. Currently I do not see any companies that are offering the urethane kit, however, it is normal for them to come out with a fiberglass kit before urethane because it is easier to replicate. I am waiting for someone to come out with the urethane because it is the closest you can get to the real deal Mazdaspeed kit and it is easier to paint, install, and daily driven. my 2 cents

We're still offering the MS kit in Urethane. However, we only have about 5 more complete kits in our inventory.
$1,428 for a complete kit shipped to any of the 48 states.
