mazdaspeed kits

Just wondering with the Mazdaspeed kits, say the front nose, is there any need for any parts bo sprayed to match the car...or they pretty much bolt on and bob's yer uncle?.

as long as you order the right part number....thay are sold by color and have different part codes. You'll notice that white is more expensive than any of the other colors (why?...don't know)...

Could be because Whitewater Pearl was the new color for '05 and vendors probably don't have alot in stock. Or could be that the paint is just more expensive.

There is an extra cost when you buy a white RX8, i think $500-US, so the MS body kits that are pre-painted in white cost more cause its the same add-on cost that comes with the car if you get it in white.

Why does white cost more? Could be a differnt paint process, or the cost of the pearl coat....or maby their just being dicks and want to charge you more for a 'special' color.

Good thing about the kit is by buying it painted, you can have the option of putting it on yourself. :D

So, if they get the extra cash from you at the time of sale, then why do they screw you twice by, again, charging you extra for MS parts in white. It would seem that paying the additional fee once would be enough.....

Question...white isn't the only pearl color is it? I wonder how much they charge extra for MS parts in Shinka color. Never seen one, so never been able to ask the owner how much extra he had to pay...

My guess is the extra cost of the white paint is due to it having to be done in a different way, since the process is differnt/special it costs more to paint the parts white....so you would be paying the extra cost when you buy the car since its painted white, and then again when you get parts for it, since they also have to be painted white. Lots of car companys charge for even metalic paint (BMW and others, metalic paint is a $500 option) Porsche even charges up to $3000 more for certain colors.

I belive White is the only pearl color on the RX8, The others are Flat (yellow, black) Metalic (silver, Blue) or Mica (red) not sure what green and gunmetal are, i think both metalic.

Its nice mazda doesnt charge extra for the metalic/mica.

Last i saw the MS parts are not offered in blackcherry
