Arrow Mazdaspeed Metal Emblem Set

This post was original started at another page (Mazdaspeed / Performance) but I think it is more related to appearance stuff here. And I am not sure how to post a pic in reply.

Continue posting.....

I just received a more close up shot of the Mazdaspeed Metal badge kit from the ebay seller. I guess some people here may be interested.

The Mazdaspeed emblems look hot :D . I was wondering, to remove the front and read Mazda emblems, I takes it that both have screws that hold them down besides the glue. If so, that will a little pricy to get someone to repaint the back end and front bumper.

Do these follow the contours of our body panels? Or are they completely flat? Do they have other colors?

Hmm...the red wouldn't look good on Ti, but those are sweet emblems. I wonder if they would do different colors...

Black would look sharp. Red reminds me of the rice rockets emblems out there.

They will paint them black, I e-mailed them today. Let's see 55mm is just over 2" square, I was thinking of placing them on the side of the car, but where? Any ideas?

Thumbs up Emblemhouse.com

Update, I took delivery on Wednesday of black ones - they did a custom paint job for me! Excellent company to do business with so far. I have them mounted on the B-Pillars, and will take photos this weekend. Or you can see them in person at Sevenstock. :D

red reminds you of rice rockets? why? the red honda emblems are authentic type R emblems. All type R civics or integras come with Red emblems... i wouldnt call them ricer emblems...

yah all the civics and integras have red emblems but isnt that the same as you putting on mazdaspeed emblems? o.O

well, if i have a civic, i will put a red emblem and the type R sticker if i got a hatch back, and i will put a type r wing on a integra for sure. it means something to some people, you can't call it rice, cuz they really comes that way. it doesn't look cheap right? i think a mazdaspeed emblem really match up the mazdaspeed kit, of course if you don't have anything in your car and you put up a ms badge, it'll look ghey for sure. to me, as long as you don't make it look cheap, then it's good enough to put on the car.

it's certainly rice to have a type-r emblem if you are driving a US spec civic / teg without a complete conversion to type-r parts. a kit doesn't make your car a type-r. a kit doesn't make your '8 a MazdaSpeed '8. it's not just an appearance mod. it's also performance. If it doesn't walk like a type-r, look like a type-r, and talk like a type-r, it isn't a type-r. same with MazdaSpeed.

You can say it's got Type-R / Mazdaspeed parts all you want, but it's rice to SAY it's a Mazdaspeed '8 or Civic Type-R when it's not.

Just my two cents. Of course, everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

I have the Black Emblem on the B-Pillar, and it looks good. Even though my car was a GT 6-Speed, I am slowly replacing everything I can with MazdaSpeed parts. So, I chose to get this emblem to set it apart from all the other Titaniums on the road. I'll post a pic tonight to let you see it.

I have these parts installed:
MazdaSpeed Aluminum Oil Cap
MazdaSpeed Badge
MazdaSpeed Fake Carbon Fiber Rear Plate Frame
MazdaSpeed Manual Trans Shift ****
MazdaSpeed Front Shocks
MazdaSpeed Rear Shocks
MazdaSpeed Front Stabilizer Bar
MazdaSpeed Rear Stabilizer Bar
MazdaSpeed Rear Stabilizer Bar End Links
MazdaSpeed Lowering Sport Springs
MazdaSpeed Stainless Clutch Line
MazdaSpeed Front and Rear Strut Tower Braces

Nemesis8 - You put a lot of work on your ride and it looks great! Question about the custom badges, are they smooth and shiny or mat? Can't really tell from their web photos. I'm thinking of designing something, but as you know, where the put them is the first order of business. I thought of the B-pillar, but wasn't sure how that will look. I can only assume they will look great. Can't wait to see them pics..I know I said that before hehe.

As to those who speak of what is ricing up your ride, I say start a new thread about it. My thoughts about that is just one voice in statium of screaming fans, so don't take it so seriously. Everyone has an opion on this matter. No one is wrong or right, it's just how you feel about it. Some people love the 8, some people don't (I know, what's wrong with those guys? hehe). So that's the last thing I'm going to comment on this matter. This thread is about "Mazdaspeed Metal Emblem Set" so let's try to stay on topic here. :D

The emblem is thin, and aluminum. The outside trim and logo is clear coated, and the black fill is glossy. It's hard to describe, but I think it looks good. My 17 year old daughter liked it, so it passed the cool ride test. I have the photos, but I cannot upload until tonight. (Left my cable at home.) I thought of placing them on the lower front of the doors, but changed to the pillar at the last monment. They are secured with 3M tape that came on them.

Yup that cool test is vital for our rides. When I explained to my wife what the 8 was and then the rotary, well, after we went to the autoshow, she got what I was harping about. :D Thus the cool (ok, I can see why you love this car) test was past at my end.

I'm still consdiering placing emblems behind the front fenders, as you have mentioned. My wife - big thumbs down, don't know yet. I've seen the Ferarris with emblems there and of course the Z ( I know, how can you compare). Don't know. I was planning in replacing the Mazda emblems, but the wrok involved was worth it. BTW the "Mazda" embelm on the rear bottom left, that's just glued on right? Well, after I factor in that Summer is over and than ye ol, winter tires need to be bought, my emblem dreams may need to wait till the Spring. That and filling all of my paint chips. Dang, I'm ranting off your topic, sorry bout that.

I'm glad to hear that the product is what I was hoping it would be like. Clear coat on Alu, terrific. The only thin I have placed upon my car is a Oakley 3D skull and cross bones between the rear passenger seats. I'll take a pic over the long weekend and post it...hell, I'll post it here. Some people like it, others think it's a little much. Anyways, glad to hear you got your shippment with out hitches and that it's on your 8 making it even cooler than it was.

I think it looks great...you don't even need any B-Pillar appliques...no MS no RX-8 ones that both cost an arm and a leg...this is sweet

but now that I have a special vinyl/rubber protectant/restorer my b-pillar looks amazing so I might keep it plain...but I might get some of those emblems to put inside the car or in other interesting places
