Mazdaspeed Rear Diffuser question

Can someone specify what is the difference between the Mazdaspeed Rear Diffuser Painted and Unpainted (Primer) versions? I need to know for sure if the center section is already painted Gun Metal Metallic on both or not. I’m trying to figure out if the only differences are the two (each side) parts right after the rear wheel that is painted/primed.

Any help will be appreciated.

I didn't know they sold the kit primered....

But as far as I know, the side bottoms and all of the rear is a dark gray

the diffuser will be gunmetal regardless but the "primer" refers to the painted sides so if you have a custom paint job on your car, you'll be able to color match those primered sides.

I have a urethane Mazdaspeed Rear Diffuser and is anyone having trouble putting it on themselves? I am trying to do the install in my house but I am confused on how to put this on...I have looked at some pictures of how you are suppose to do it but are you REALLY suppose to cut into that black plastic part of the rear bumper?

it is really easy. and you are just cutting away stuff that is going to be covered... so accurate is not really an issue. yes it is intimidating at first, but once you cut the stuff off, it is obvious..

an oil change on this car is more difficult...
