I am going to install the Mazdaspeed side skirt by myself tomorrow and would like to gather any tips that you might have that could ease the pain that I am going to go through to install it. Thanks~

I installe mine by myself and it was a pain in my rear! If you have access to a lift please do yourself a favor and use it! Make sure you drill those holes for the plastic rivets, really exact and flush around the edges. If you don't you will have the problem I did... they snapped in half after a month because of the extra stress on them. Mazda will have new ones for me next week, just another headache because I should have had Mazda install them, at least they would have had to fix the install and not me. You will need to be able to fit a drill vertically under the side skirt area so you can drill holes there, that's why I said if you can use a lift or jack the car pretty high up. Also your gonna have a tight space to work with between the back tire and the side skirt, same with the front tire, unless you take them off.

Hope that helped some, if you have any questions just feel free to p/m or reply to this post.

Here's my horror story w/ the skirts:

1) nothing matches up and you do more work than that's needed.

Here's what I did instead:

For the rear section, drill new holes and connect them to the body.
Front section I had done the same as the rear.
The skirt section, I used glue and the tape combo to line up and stick the skirt into place properly. Once fitted, I created new holes that lined up the rear section to the body as well as the front; drilled them into place.

If you try to do it Mazda's way, it'll take long, if you do it this way, probably 15mins.

I had two jacks lifting the car w/ the tires removed for a clean drill.
