ok sorry...my internet is down so i am having some difficulty checking the board...
YES!!! it came in yesterday!!! had it on within 15 minutes! i think it fits even better then the stock hood! i am having my friend bring her sony cybershot over so i can get some really good clean pictures. looks like normal CF but then as you are walking around the front you catch this glimmer of blue in the hood...hard to see but it catches your attention! i should have some pics up later tonight or tomorrow sometime.
can't wait for the next car meet up in my area...just want to drive through and show it off!
all i can say though is that Marc and the guys at Gemini Composites do some BAD ***, EXCELLENT work!!! like i said i will try and get some pictures up soon!!!
keep me posted BIU on what else you are working on through them!

Yes you are right the blue kevlar looks just like normal CF at first..... but wait till the sun hits it.... a definate head turner!
Get ready for the fibreglass smell for a week or two Mr.Ed :D
The smell will go once the FB underbody of the hood fully cures from your engine's heat.

VERY nice!
you can definately see the blue kevlar from this pic :
https://www.rx8club.com/attachment.p...chmentid=29163
But its because it was cloudy out..... wait till theres sunshine then take more pis... the blue will definately be more obvious!

Very nice. The quality of these hoods looks very good at least from a fitment standpoint. Can someone take a picture of the underside please? I'd like to see what it looks like from underneath.
thanks.
thanks.

thanks.
it looks exactly like the OEM underbody because it is a direct FB mold from that.
but if you get a vented hood then there would be holes underneath where the appropriate vents are.
So pop open your hood and look, thats what it looks like

They dont come ready for that but if you want Gemini can do that for you.
But if you retain the insulation you would have to cut it anyways for the vents to work.... plus i thought about it when i had my hood done... there are around 15 holes you would need to drill for the insulation piece.... so i just left it off
pop open your hood... you will see about 10+ pop rivets holding the insulation piece.
but i had Gemini drill me the 5 small holes that hold the stock weatherstrip piece in the front of the hood near the latch area
