Configured your RX-8 with all the optional assesories and Mazdaspeed parts. Require Macromedia Flash.

For those of you who have ever wondered what it would look like to mix and match Mazdaspeed and Mazda factory Appearance Package items, you have simply GOT to check out this site!!!

Interesting. It's amazing that all the extras I actually want are included on the UK car anyway. That is: front and rear fog lights, drilled aluminum pedals. I don't get the deal with the DVD nav systems though. None of the ones pictured are the optional system that appears to come with the car from the factory. Surely that one should be an add on option too? Another selection of possible colours too. Never the same colour selection twice from Mazda eh? Don't look at the green Elara!

And am I imagining it, or do all the Nav systems also play Sim City?

aftermarket only?
i've never bought a mazda before but some companies allow you to get the specialty parts applied before you recieve the vehicle. is it possible to order the rx-8 with the mazdaspeed body kit and or accessories already installed at the port or will i have to choose between outrageous dealer installation fees and 3rd party installation?

mix and matchin'
i dunno what to say...what do you guys think of mix and matching body kits? i mean, i love the front of the mazda speed kit, but i hate the black plasticness of its rear. i love the rear of the magic r kit, but the front is a bit too much for me. and i like the autoexe sides the best (though they are a bit side steppish). though as i try to picture the three parts in my brain, i get a really odd looking vehicle.

i dont think its good. i mean u wouldnt put 2 different kinds of rims on ur car so why would u mix ur body kit? me personally i wouldnt do it, i just find theres something very odd about it.

It's very common to mix body kits, not a bad thing at all. My buddy's 93 rx7 has a c-west front and rear with veilside sideskirts. It looks great. I think you should wait a few months before getting any body kits. Since the car hasn;t been out for too long, not many aftermarket companies have had there hands on it, so within the next few months you'll be seeing better looking kits.

Depends a lot of times - you have to look at the parts as a *whole*, not as individual pieces. One nose may look awesome sitting by itself, and a set of side skirts may look awesome by itself, but put both on a car and it looks bad.
Good body kits flow together and complement the car and each other.
Mixing/matching can work great and look great just as long as you keep the entire picture in mind.
And as long as you paint it before you put it on . If I had a nickel for every Honda and Mustang around town with unpainted noses and sideskirts...

Mazdaspeed kit with Stock Spoiler?
Anyone gotten the MazdaSpeed kit with a stock spoiler ? I'd like to know what it would look like since the MS spoiler seems a little much for my tastes. And I assume the spoiler mounts don't match, so you can't swap later. Any pics/info appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave

Honestly, I think the standard Mazda spoiler is too subtle to mix with the more agressive Mazdaspeed kit.
The car would lose balance in its appearance to me.
I'm going with the standard rear spoiler and nothing else for now. When I get a little bored with the looks there'll be bucketloads of options on the market.
Did you see the adjustable rear wing og the ?FEED? car - awesome!
btw, if you had initial doubts, don't do it!
