Mix-match body kits?

Hello everyone...

I know I wont be buying a body kit for a while but please bear with me. I've seen alot of body kits out there but I can't say I like them 100%, what I mean is that I'll like the front but maybe not the back spoiler.

So, I wanted to know what you guys/gals thought about mixed-match body kits. Putting two types of body kits together instead of using the same type all around the car.

The more I look at kits...the more I think that's what I'm going to do. Since I'm not a mod guru (never had a car worth modding) I wanted to ask how common are mixed-match body kits?

The good about doing that is you will have a semi-unique style but the bad is that once everything is put together it might not match up or make the car look messy or distracting.

I would love input from you people out there that have done this or plan to do it.

No problem with mix matching, as long as they flow together. I mix match my clothes :D

Well, I like what I've done and I think it works well with this combo - as above as long as they flow into each other like the edge of the front wheel arch into the side skirts and rear etc then shouldn't be a problem. I was a modding novice when I started this too...

Its difficult to tell until its all in place, for example I had to change my rear spoiler as it didn't go with the rest of the kit once I had it all on.

But you certainly end up with something that is unique :

Here's mine.
It's the ks-auto burnout front lip with the mazdaspeed sides and rear. The only thing is that the lip doesn't have the grey on the bottom like the MS parts but it doesn't matter to me.

adrian-1 I really like your set-up. Nice clean look and good flow from front to back.
I was wanting something similiar to that but I have the stock rear spoiler on the trunk
and didn't know how well this would look.

I have the MS Front, Veilside D1-GT sides, and the MS Rear (I had a Veilside rear, but my exhaust melted it). I had the Veilside skirts painted in red and the gunmetal color that accents the MS Front and dominates the MS Rear. I just finally got it finished last Saturday, and I have to say that I love it, especially because I'm pretty sure nobody else's -8 looks like mine.

I am going for Veilside Vsd1 front+Veilside side skirts+Veilside hood+rear ???
I don't want my tips from the greddy to be hidden in the Veilside rear..I was thinking of ms rear but not sure...I don't like the fact that it looks like you have stick it in the stock bumper..The veilside rear is a complete bumper at looks like you haven't placed a spoiler...

I also have an ms cf style wing...Any suggestions for the rear???

Alot of JDM body kits out there such as FEED, Rmagic,,etc are designed according to carefully engineered aerodynamics. With the full aerodynamic package, the lap time is reduced 1 full sec ( not sure of length but def not 1/4 mile but longer ). This is the reason why japanese call body kits aerodynamic kits, not body kits like americans do.
If you don't care about aerodynamic, then i don't see why you can't mix match body kits, but you certainly won't get the full advantage of having same body kit on.
I'm not going with mixed body kit for that reason.

VERY nice look, since i'll probably be getting mazdaspeed front and sides, with an abflug rear, im going to have the lower lip of the abflug rear bumper painted in gunmetal matched to the MS sides and front.
