Need some straight up advice

Ok so recently I got into a little fender bender and instead of getting it repaired I decided to just take the insurance money to get a body kit instead which landed me about $1600. I've been looking at the duraflex vader kit/veilside D1-GT. Is the veilside worth the 2 grand? I've read the other threads about the vader possibly having some issues with the fit. I dont really care about brand name I'm just tired of rolling in an rx-8 with a fat dent in the back. Need some real advice not "You get what you pay for" I've heard it before.

you DO get what you pay for. What other advice do you want?
That advice is better than "I told you so" later down the road...

If you like the kit, get it. What's so hard about that??

Well then whats a good middle ground? Because I want a good body kit but at the same time there is other things I would like to get for my car and I am by no means wealthy.

then buy a bumber off the for sale forum on here and take it to the shop to have them repaint it to match your color, because reading old threads on veilside because i was looking into getting a front bumber even JDM ones had not so good fitment. A Mazdaspeed rear bumber will cost you around 1200 and a crappy body kit is around 500-1k not counting body work and fitement. Just stick to stock untill you can afford to get whatever kit you want and know you can afford it to make it fit flush. I have seen some members spend upwards of 5k to make a kit fit right. I was going to get a kit because my whole car got keyed and was going to get a good deal on fitment but i figured i would save for Mazdaspeed cuz i know it will fit better than anything else.

Try replicas. They're cheaper, but may have fitment issues.

having done all the work to my own car.... I used all fiberglass aftermarket pieces. having said that urethane is always the way to go, less cracks and more durable. however most aftermarket body parts are going to have fitment issues. My competition gt front end wasn't bad, sure it needed body work to look straight but fitment wasn't bad. my VIS rear end fit awesome and needed no work what so ever and my veilside side skirts... well they were from and RSX so they def were modded to fit. I believe I have some pics of work I done to my car just to give you an idea. Nothing is going to be cheap and piecing together body kits like I did works well too!! You don't want something everyone else has... Be original and be Solo man
