New 194 LEDs! Best yet!

I admit, I'm a little obsessed with finding the perfect 194 LED bulb for my parking lights and clear corners. I've tried several different variants from Autolumination and now V-LEDs. Recently V-LEDs started selling a new bulb (5 SMT), and it looked bright and white so I thought I would give it a try. Here are the results:

Here is the pic from www.v-leds.com:

The bulb in the flesh:

And a couple of them on (please excuse the crappy cel phone pics):

You can see from these pics that there is very little blue in them, and that seems to be the biggest complaint from others who have tried LED bulbs. They are a really good match for the HIDs and my PIAA Xtreme Force foglights. And they are really bright. I've found that the bulbs that fire in all directions work the best, especially in the clear corners, but in the parking lights too as they reflect in the reflector bowl and appear brighter when looking at them (which is really what these lights are about, they aren't to light the road).

When it gets dark later, I will take some pics outside from further away with the other lights on...

well i may have to give these a try as well. my original complaint was, like you said, too blue. i currently have V-LEDS's stuff all around my car, BUT BOTH of my corner markers recently started giving me trouble. i had the "Matrix" style bulbs, 5LEDs at different angles, and they all burnt up. they began to flicker, and within 24hrs, they were totally gone. What i found odd was they WEREN'T they driving lights that are exposed to HID heat, they were corner markers!

My HIDs are stock. I'll take a few more pics when it gets dark.

I highly recomend getting LED protectors for any LED bulbs that you are using. I used to get the flicker then fail from both autolumination and v-led bulbs. Haven't had that happen since I started using the LED protectors. You can get them from autolumination.com:

OK, a couple of shots with the other lights on. Once again, sorry about the crappy cell phone pics, I really need to get a digital camera... so much to get, so little money.

i have heard that it's because they are too big, aka, too close to the plastic lense.

Maybe RotaryRasp could chime in here since he's the king of custom LEDs, but I think the most common cause of LED failure is a spike in voltage. The LED protector that I posted above is basically a surge protector for your LEDs. Cheap and easy to install.
