I just ordered a set of LEDs for the rear, front turn signals, and parking light. This thread was very informative, and i can't wait till all is done! I recently, installed my Hoen's H11/H9's and interior leds, so far so good.

Parking lights are a pain! I found it easier and faster to just take off the whole front bumper.

Personally, i take off the front wheels and unscrew the wheel well lining to get to the parking lights. I never took off my front bumper so i don't know that approach.

Yeah, will be interesting to see how they switch them, but I'm not sure I would ever go with them on this car, but I've also learned to "never" say "never".

I updated my thread with the latest coupon code that runs through 9/30, so anybody buying should use that code.
I'm also sure it exists on the website rather than locating my thread.

Uh oh, looks like Mazurfer and I are competing to see who the biggest V-Fan is .

Paimon.soror, the HIDs look great, now you need some switchbacks for the parking/signal lights!

Yea I was thinking that, but I have always been a fan of amber parking/turns. Now I just need to get my hands on some S2 OEM fog assemblies so I can throw some sexy LED fogs in there

I would deffenatly be interested in dual color LED's if they are reasonably priced. The white and blue would look sick on my WB

And the 7440/7443 bulbs that Aipex8 recommends are now on sale, $39 down from $52 (before coupon).

The iron's hot, boys.

So tempted to buy a pair of headlight HIDs/parkling light LEDs. I'm afraid of getting too lazy to install them though since I've never taken off my front bumper...

It's real easy actually. After you do your first bumper removal, removing it thereafter is cake. The HID's are really easy to install too, but the thing is they dont come with the spacers that our H7 bulbs need. What i did was grab some nice thick rubber gromets from Sears which matched the circumference of the spacers and it worked perfectly (and only cost like 50 cents lol). I might have one left over so i can take a pic of it and show you what i am talking about.

Something like this will work too :

http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...&blockType=G11

but you might need to stack 2 together to get the proper thickness.

Thanks for the tip, I'll have to run by Sears sometime this week since I just placed my order on a pair of running lights and headlights.

I'm surprised at what I ended up paying; I was expecting some kind of triple-digit number for both pairs. Hopefully they won't disappoint.

No idea. I'll send them an email Monday and see if I can get some info on how they will work and if there will be an H11 coming in the future.

Again, I've never had to take off the bumper for ANY of my bulb installs. Headlights, fogs, parking, signals... all can be changed without taking off the bumper.

My own fault for not looking through all of the pages, but how? I'm assuming you reach through the wheel well? Do you take the wheels off, or do you just turn the wheels to give you enough room to work with?

I'd love to install these without removing the bumper, but if it's more of a hassle then I might as well (I don't have a jack so removing wheels isn't gonna work for me).

Well because the hids dont come with the spacers you will find it FAR easier to just remove the bumper and the HL assembly so that you can properly mount the bulbs and the grommet in there. Trust me, you can go through the wheel well but you want to be 100% sure you mount those bulbs in there nice and that they are secured and centered.

If you are standing directly in front of the car you will see more light from the side marker than with the flanking bulbs. If you prefer that, go for it!
Revisiting this topic... I just swapped my side marker lights while converting them to turn signals. Ended up using these bulbs:
http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/C...00672-1-2.html
They are nice and bright, since instead of the two LEDs in Aipex's recommended bulbs, they have four. Trouble is, they only light up about the back 2/3 of the side marker. The ideal solution would be to have these with the one LED facing forward, like it is with these bulbs, but there is no such thing available. I'm contemplating trying the bulbs again with the one forward-facing LED, but hate the idea of wasting the LEDs facing the car.
Trying bulbs one after the other is getting also pretty expensive, lol...

Yep, I too say pull the bumper.
Once you do it, you can tehn pull it off in less than 10 minutes.
It's actually very easy after the first time and then you can make sure all is good!

Grog, if you need the instructions on pulling the bumper PM me. I have some that contain pictures as well.
