OK, I'll email him and ask about that. I just checked Paypal and that seems to work fine. Can you use Paypal instead?

Gotcha, I sent an email to V-LEDS, I'll let you know as soon as I get a response.

Do you have stock HIDs? They will look OK, but will not be an exact match. They sell 6000K HID bulbs too though.

Not yet. I'll post it as soon as I do. He usually emails later in the day, so maybe early evening. I'll be at the track, but I'll have my iPhone with me so I can still get you an answer if I hear from him tonight.

I think anybody that is having trouble keeping their LEDs 'alive' needs to look into some basic electronics principles. (current flow, wires' capacity to carry current, voltage regulation... hell even voltage=current*resistance) The basics aren't very complicated and you should easily be able to make your own LED contraptions for much less than you can buy them online. They may not be plug-n-play, but you can have some satisfaction in getting exactly what you want and you can also take some pride in what you have created.

Metku.net is the site that first got me into electronics and I'm now in my Sr. year of electrical engineering and also co-oping at and IR-development company.
Also the site is cool to puruse because there are so many custom projects that are sure to give someone an idea for something cool.

Also this is handy for newcomers: ledcalc.com/

OK, I heard back from V-LEDS and if you are having an issue with Google checkout they want you to email them directly at sales@v-leds.com and they will sort it out (I'm assuming they will email you back the invoice with the corrected price, so I'd include all the part numbers you are planning on ordering). Hope that helps.

LED's can be damaged by one or combined reasons:
Heat- LED is not designed for application, they can be made for Cell Phone Flash and fail because of wrong application.
Moisture- LED has exposed metal areas that are susceptible to moisture, causing short.
Handling- LED with silicon encapsulation will be prone to failure if poked and an internal part is broken. This could include driving where components can break loose from bumps in the road.
Quality- A well designed product will yield results long after money is made.

Overall, I love to see pics the work done especially the fogs.

OK, just a little more info to pass along. Apparently Google checkout doesn't allow for use of coupon codes, so prefered method of payment is by credit card or Paypal. Again, if Google checkout is absolutely your only option, email sales@v-leds.com and hopefully they can work something out.

Also, the 8000K that I referenced earlier was a typo in the email to me. They rate their LEDs at approx 6000K (they do vary slightly depending on the different LED type: SMT, MSMT, high power, etc.). Click the link for an example:
http://v-leds.smugmug.com/gallery/67...79_b6neN-XL-LB
He said they match very well with the 6000K blue HID kit/bulbs that they sell but will also match other 6000K - 8000K kits pretty well.

I bought these for my fogs after reading Aipex8's OP (no deal ). I highly recommend them. One of the fog lights is a bitch to install though -- the bulbs are very big compared to the OEM size.

One of my bulbs broke while installing it. I was super careful but when i tried to turn it to lock it in place there was a bad creaking noise. I slowly tried and tried again to get it to lock into place but failed and in the process bent some critical piece of the bulb to the point where it wouldn't work. I'm pretty sure it was a faulty bulb because i was being very careful. I explained what happened to V-LED and they sent me a new bulb no questions asked. Very good customer service.

I'll probably end up buying more bulbs from them especially with this deal. I'll probably just stick with my crappy autolumination bulbs for the mean time until either they burn out or i can't stand them any more.

Those who are on the fence... get them.

Sweet, post some pics up if you get a chance, I'd like to see. By the way, did you remove the metal reflector cap from the foglight housing? I was sure those bulbs wouldn't fit with it in place.

just for future installers, I'd recommend sealing the entire fog light enclosure with some silicone (the rubbery kind) when you guys install the LEDs. The seal is adequate for regular washes with garden hoses but if you have to take it to the touchless car wash or wash with pressure washers of any sorts water finds its way into the assembly very easily. Burnt out one bulb already Just put my order in for a new pair and I'll be completely sealing these once I add the new LEDs. I say use the rubbery kind that way when you need to get the bulb out, you can always just use a box cutter or knife to cut through it. I'd also advise sealing the part where the glass meets the metal on the front as well. It's out of sight so even if you want to use the red silicone which protects against high temperatures you can do that. Just need a glove to apply it with. I've got HID H11s sitting here waiting for a clear fog light set so I can put it in there to match my headlights lol.

That is very good thinking Kainis, my fogs have some traces of water (think Mars) while LED's just don't take the moisture as well as well as halogens do as they can burn off moisture with heat. Cant wait to see pics of your HID's those will look... VERY NICE

Maybe this has been answered in this thread already, but I used the thread search feature and didn't find it. Plus, if it could be added to the first post.... it's sticky worthy.

What are the white LED replacements for the trunk light and the overhead (button press) map lights?

My clear corners look ugly with the stock bulbs. And my trunk light looks ugly and is dim as all hell. Trying to place one order for all the LEDs I would need. Also, after reading the note in the first post, no more resisters are needed for any LED replacement in any location?

I realize most of them are 194. But VLEDs offers many replacements for the 194. Some are 2W, some are 4W, some are for right angle applications, some have 3 LEDs and the heads are smaller, some have 5 LEDs and have heads so big I don't think they'd fit in the map light location. Now that I look at the map light bulbs, they are kinda at a 90 degree angle, but I believe are designed that way on purpose to reflect light. I'm thinking the straight non-90 degree LEDs would work best?

Maybe these?
http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED/D...-p5168710.html

Those will work for the trunk too? And again, if this could be added to the original post so we can keep it all clean and easy to find for others, that would be awesome.
