New Paint Job. Do I wait to Wash/Wax?

Alright. After collision repair, the whole care was repainted last Friday. I looks great. My questions is... Can I wash and wax it right when I bring it home or do I have to wait for it to cure for some time? I really want to get it all nice and shiny, and Zaino it, but should I wait? Thanks...

Yeah, you should wait at least a few weeks to let the paint cure. You can wash it, but wax will seal the paint and prevent the gases/vapors from escaping as it cures.

The smart thing to do is ask the shop that painted it, they know what paint etc was used. Most paint manufactures reccomend 30 days before waxing.

2 weeks is ok but it's better to wait a month. Patience is a virtue

I would stay away from any polishing liquid for a while. First of all your new paint finish won't need it and secondly, polish does its job by gently removing some of the clearcoating to even out the surface (giving it that "polished" look). Let the clearcoat completely cure first and use polish only by the 2nd or third time you work on the finish.

Yes, wait. After market paint shops do not cure the paint in the heat booth like the manufacturer does. Wait.

I would first use a safe non-cleaner wax like a carnauba for my first few waxes, not zaino.
