Non-LED hyperwhites from autolumination.com / Pics?
I'm looking for pics of someone who did a bulb overhaul with hyperwhite bulbs from autolumination. I keep hearing everyone who's using LEDs gets tons of burnouts no matter if they are from there or from vleds, so I'd rather not drop $100 to redo all my lights if they'll just burn out.
Here are the bulbs I'm considering:
194 (interior, parking lights, side markers):
either: http://superlumination.com/images/au...94sw_sv_wm.jpg
or : http://superlumination.com/images/au...4_xenon_wm.jpg
7440 (blinkers)
http://superlumination.com/images/au..._chrome_wm.jpg
(front: hyperwhite; rear: red)
Any thoughts or pics?

as for the 194 bulbs, you aren't going to get as much light output from a non-LED bulb. i learned this through buying white, nonLED 194s. During the day you can't even see the white color, and at night the xenon HIDS overpower the small parking lights. As for using them in the interior, its a great idea. if you ARE going to go for LEDS in the side markers and parkings, i would highly recommend LED 194 from www.frickinbrite.com which is VLEDS. They work great.

Hoen USA has got LEDs that run at 4200K. They are out of stock right now (till May 2008). I have Vleds for interior and exterior 168 bulbs but the color temp is significantly higher than the stock 4100K HIDs.
Hoen also makes an incandesent 168 that runs at 4100K if you want.
You can find both bulbs at the following link:

I'm sick of mismatched lights so I'm switching to Hoen shiat.
For fogs thought the Mtec bulbs I bought on ebay are still doing well. Just recently I had one replaced as the vendor was offering a Life Time Warranty on the bulbs (BTW I bought H9s and modified them to fit the H11 plug - H9 burns brighter).

The reason that LEDs often fail is because of voltage surges. I ordered the following product (called a LED Protector) from autolumination.com. I installed these on all my external LEDs (parking, corners, rear plate) and have not had one burn out since. I recently upgraded my parking lights to an 11 LED cluster and the LED Protector was limiting the voltage too much and it wouldn't light all the LEDs. I removed the protector and 1 of the LEDs in the cluster was flickering in a week (luckily I bought a few extras).

I took the protector apart and found that it's just a 1 Watt 100 ohm resistor. I purchased a couple of resistors of different specs and found that a 1 Watt 10 ohm resistor will allow all the LEDs to light and am now using those for my 11 LED clusters.

Just a quick poll to see who uses VLEDS for their brakes, backup lights and front/rear turn signals?
I'm considering their 48 SMT lights but they are really pricey. I don't mind paying it but they would really have to last. Also considering the 27 SMTs. Would like to hear from anyone who have bought these about their experience.
Also, if you use a different bulb let me know hwich one and how you find it.
Any pics + which bulb you're using would be great

i really want to make the full LED conversion as well. Question...can all of the rear stop/break lights, including the high mount, take 7443 instead of 7440. I have heard some controversy. Does the same go for the turn signals and back ups?
