umm, i think its illegal. looking at the site, you assume its real since it says veilside. but man, those are some expensive replica kits. looking at the site, looks shady from there.

I give them a call and start yelling at them. save the webpage on what it says on veilside. i dont see replica anywhere on it. inform veilside and yell at the guy. you can always file a dispute also.

send me a pic please.. this sounds like it may be a fake.. There stuff fits very well..
And there are some supplyers in the USA with those Kits.. I for one can get them in a few days shipped from Ca. So I think you may have a fake. I also hoave a line on kits that need body work to fit but they are sold at a huge discount. like 300 bucks.. ANd only in MS have i seen that.. Take some pics and post them so we can see what you really got..

Then again.. What did your body shop not like excatly.

ok .. read it all now..

Yes I see this on the supply side but like i said the kits are sold ata discount and you should have know up front ! ..

Very Sad. if he will not give you your money back and you dont want the hassle witht he Body shop then sell it on Ebay.

I'd contact veilside first to let them know that this vendor is committing false advertising (fraud). They are marketting a kit with the veilside name on it when that is not what they are selling. See his email response for that fact and go look at the website.

EDIT: Also contact your credit card company about this purchase and let them know that the vendor sold you a Veilside GT1 bodykit and did not deliver a veilside GT1 body kit. Dispute ALL charges and make them pay.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was an actual Veilside kit.

Mine skirts came with no instructions, no mounting brackets, no holes drilled, and 6 nickle plated screws for the side skirts.

The first one was so bad I had to send it back, next one was a bit better but still needed 4 hours of sanding and a little filling to make them fit.

The actual surfaces needed some finishing too, and the actual veilside logos at the bottom of the of the skirts weren't moulded properly.

My bodyshop then had to spend the best part of a day fitting them, creating some funky moutings with some nickle plated brackets screwed through some rubber bungs to secure the skirts to the car. I was expecting the skirts to end up flush with the underside of the car, but there is about a 1 inch gap between the undersill of the car and the edge of the skirts - this is where the brackets and bungs were needed.

On the inside of the skirts were veilside stickers and part numbers, check for them.

Compared to INGs the Veilside stuff was crap. INGs was perfect fit, all holes drilled in correct places, all brackets and screws provided, and instructions (although in JP) had easy to follow diagrams.

See https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-exterior-appearance-body-kits-27/veilside-d1-gt-titanium-doesnt-fit-32598/ for pics of how bad my first set of skirts were.

Yes, the name is molded into the fiberglass.

You got replicas. The front bumper uses the stock mounting points, so it's a perfect fit.

Decals are fake Velslide.

Man, I hope you got some kind of compensation for what you had to go through. That's hella shady.

take a closer look

a closer look at the website provided states, "veilside style" not veilside. just because the pic of the car has the word veilside on the window is not representative of the acutal product (not the window). while this seems like a shady tactic to us, legally it does not say it is a veilside product. i would just stay clear of these types of websites.

Genuine Veilside products come with pre-drilled hole and allignment to fit the stock front. (according to Veilside European agent)
Also, the front lip, side skirts and rear under spoiler are made of urethane.

My advice is, when purchasing more expensive products, always contact the manufacturer and duoblecheck the information from the seller.
