Oil Oil Everywhere even on my car

So I was driving to work this morning and passing a Dump Truck at which point i saw a few drops on my winshield, figuring it was water i continued to pass the truck. It wasnt until i got to the wheel well and saw the oil gushing out of the truck did i realize my rx8 was coverd in the stuff. I drove around for 30 min looking for a car wash that is open at 7am to no avail so my question to you guys is two fold, what is the best clearner to get oil off the car and b) will this have any lasting effect on my car?

P.S. Dont try and use the winshield cleaner on your winshield when it is coverd in oil. I had to pull over because i lost all visibility.

Same thing happened to me except it was Diesel fuel. Fortunatly, the coin op car washes are open 24/7. I got my wash within 3 miles of that happening.

Assuming it's hydraulic oil, it *ought* not to damage your paint.... However, get it off ASAP!!!!

I would thoroughly wash the car with a degreaser (liquid dish wash - Ivory Liquid / Dawn), and then re-wax, and re-protect the black plastic, and then re-silicone the rubber seals...

Bummer.

yeah that sucks ive had it happen to me before, just make sure like the others said u get it off ASAP other wise it will tarnish and discolor the paint in that area.

it should come right off at any carwash without much trouble unless its been on for a while

yeah bigger injectors are a better way 2 help the rx8's AF's and it gives it the low end power it needs by spraying a crap load more fuel at once...most people do the basic intake exhaust blah blah injectors really make the rx8 move id get them if i were u

PM me if u want details
