Options for debadging?

Well it sucks that the 8 has holes if the Mazda and RX8 emblems are removed.

I am thinking of getting a carbon fiber trunk.

I have a question, does anyone know if Mazda makes black or black chrome emblems for our cars? I think it would look pretty nice.

Ebay maybe. I've seen a couple people just paint them black before.

The holes are very small so you can have them filled and repainted.

If I remember the other threads correctly, there are no holes from the RX-8 emblem. Just the Mazda and the "Flying M" badge.

you dont have to take the front bumper off to get the flying M off. Its attached with tape and the posts are just locating posts.

You have to take it off to have the holes filled and bumper repainted though.

I painted the M's black (front and back) and the word mazda body color. Have them ALL removed now. MUCH much better lo0king without badges IMO.

The posts should have spring clips on the back side.

You do have to take the bumper off or else you will either crack your bumper or brake your emblem.

Yes, because there are little round thinks at the back of the emblem that hold it in...so you have to use something pointy to pry the sides back...Look closely at photo 3 and you'll see what I mean...I know this because I have my stock bumper and did it myself! You cannot pry it off from the front. Maybe some have but I wouldn't take the chance...

Damn don't know much about mech. stuff. Thats the best that I can explain it.

either I got lucky then or someone at mazda forgot to put those clips behind my badge.
I to0k the front badge off without destroying or damaging the bumper at all. The badge got messed up b/c I didnt care how it came off. I had a new one freshly painted black and ready to go on.

someone was looking into putting bumper plugs over the holes before, however, the only way to make it look good would be to repaint. a cf trunk would work as well, just check to make sure there are no holes. may vary with brand.
