Looks alright! I would have just stopped with the engine cover because I think it would look sharp having just yellow cover surrounded by the other covers. Kinda like a centerpiece.

A bit much - a different color to make a nice contrast with the yellow might of worked! Still, great work...

Pbuck, what kind of mod you did to fit the stock engine cover over the MS strut bar? Any details/pics appreciated

Excellent, thanks a lot. I suggest you make a DIY with pics. There are many people having the MS strut bar and the usual consensus is that the stock engine cover must go. I prefer the cover to stay, I don't need to stare every time I pop the hood at the MS logo I know it's there from the way the car turns now
Thanks again.

I personally would like you see a black car with the two tone interior do the engine in red . And I'll work on the pics today and try to get them posted later tonight .

I like these. I think I'm going to borrow your idea Catalyst. I've got the two-tone red/black lthr so I'm thinking it would look kinda sweet.

I heard of a member removing the inner portion of the engine cover and putting something clear there instead. Does anyone know who did this? I'd like to do it, but I also want the Mazda emblem and the Renesis phrase on the clear... I'm not sure if those can be removed and reused, but we'll see.

What kind of paint do I need to use and where can I get it? Is it possible to cover that paint w/the touch-up paint so the engine bay matches the exterior?

I think this is the thread, Dazygirl. https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...ne+cover+lexan
I like Catalyst's. Painting all the pieces is too much, IMO.
