Pearlecent Paint

Pearlecent Paint
Hey guys,
Just wondering if anyone had thought about, or has painted their car with a pearlescent setup (Changes colour form different angles)
I saw an accord that was a flat blue from straight on, and a light metallic blue from the angles,
so it progressively changed from dark to light over the fenders and wheel wells.
In my opinion, the nicest colour ive ever seen on a car.
Any Ideas how much this would cost??

Those are Kandy color paint(has many coats) & it usually cost about $10k for the paint job.Just the paint will cost you thousands! Make sure you get a good bodyshop to do the job also because it more complicated than other kind of paint jobs.

are you talking about harliquen colours? my fave colour is the ppg silver to green. it changes fom green to blue and purple... no silver its applied over silver base, so if you have a silver 8, then its alot easier to do that.
there is also a new type of paint, heat change colours, the color will change from one to another say, dark purple to electric blue when heat is applied onto the surface. pretty amazing stuff.
these type of paints come at a price, as well as the labour involved.
candy colour is most suitable for gragae queen/show cars, because if there is a scratch, you will have to get it resprayed again, there is no easier way of colour matching a candy colour.

just throwing a pearl in a straight color is not that big a deal, I'm actually going to try and ge that done with my yellow as it had recent hail damage and may need a whole new paint job. I'll let you all know how things turn out. All it does is give a simple color a little texture and it does reflect light a little differently.
