Plastic rails on the roof?
I don't know what they are called but the 2 rails that run on the sides of the roof panel on my car are faded. I just bought it yesterday (it is an 04 Velocity Red) I assume it was sitting in the lot for a while. Any ideas on how to shine these up? They feel a little sticky on the surface.
Thanks!

Oil Injection
if its sticky it could be the paint/plastic breaking down in the sun. good reason to keep your car washed and waxed if you park out side. and park in the shade when its possible.
I always call them 'rain rails' as they keep the rain coming off the roof from streaming down the sides of the car, its like a little gutter that directs the rain forward or backward.
Its actualy just the cover for the seam left over when the join the roof panel on the car, but whatever.lol

OK. I ' ve tried "Autoglym's Extensive Tar Remover" it WORKED PERFECT! The problem now is that i was to furius to finish (as usual) and I scratched the rails a bit. Anyways... i am done with that...
