Question about carbon fiber.

Question about carbon fiber.
So I did some research on carbon fiber and from what I saw it requires a lot of care like clearcoating and such or else it starts warping and turning yellow *correct me if I'm wrong*
If I were to get a spoiler and I had the options of either carbon fiber or fiberglass, which would be the better choice? I really wouldn't want to have to spend a lot of money to take car of the spoiler like clear coating it often to protect it. I haven't really been able to find much on fiberglass. Maybe it's due to my lack of research skills but could someone please enlighten me on the differences of fiberglass and carbon fiber? And what the better choice would be if I were to get a spoiler... like durability wise to the weather and such..
Namely this spoiler....

I know I know...veilside is wack. I got it already, but I just can't help that I've got this weird infatuation over this spoiler at the moment. Plus I'm just really curious about the difference in carbon fiber and fiberglass..

1. with CF you have to wax it often to protect its clear coat
2. Google the difference between WET and DRY carbon fiber
3. Some carbon fiber doesnt come clear coat and you have to get it done to preserve it
4. IMHO Fiberglass is just as good as CF.....but not as good as DRY CARBON because DRY CARBON is lighter in weight and stronger.... TOP GEAR 8 has a dry carbon hood......ok bye now

Most carbon fiber will fade if it sees a lot of sun. I had a VIS hood that didn't last a year in the Texas sun. But my friends Seibon Hood lasted like three years before it started fading so it varies.

Fiberglass painted of course will do better in the sun....you can always repaint....
fiberglass isnt much heavier than carbon fiber... and not as heavy as Poly Urethane...every type of body panel/mold has its stregths and weakness...
Heres your solution.... If you buy anything, buy SEIBON.... you cant buy direct but they have an MSRP Dealer list with prices of around what it will cost.... I have had my cousin with his S2k buy a SEIBON hood and still in very good condition (properly taken care of), and also another friend with a trunk from them (properly taken care of).... if alll else fails... you can always paint your carbon fiber.... Good Luck Bro...
and BTW... Alll SEIBON products are test fitted and have the best fitted CF you can buy....unlike VIS (which is a bang for you buck) but has a lot of big gaps.....
SEIBON also comes with a 1 year warranty...so....yeah....
GOOD LUCK BRO...

Let me add some thoughts...
1. Most people are going to go for the Carbon Fiber just for the looks. You probably won't notice any differences in weight, downforce, etc.
2. With the Carbon Fiber you're going to want to shoot it with clearcoat for sure. When the carbon parts are NOT cleared they will start to cloud/yellow over time. This is because the sun is beating down right on the resin coat. So, clear it if you want it to look better for longer.
3. People that get FRP are usually those that want the part to be color matched to the car.
4. At the end of the day, it's more or less based on looks. Does the person want the look of carbon or the look of color matched.
Also, by the way, speaking of warranties..... VeilSide parts have a LIFETIME warranty.
