R-Speed Body Kit (Yay/Nay?)

Good or bad? I've seen tons of pictures with it, but never seen one of these in person. I think it looks like it's a pretty good deal for only around a grand.

Your link is busted http://www.andysautosport.com/mazda/...r00123946.html
And its a replica R-Magic kit. Take it from someone who has been down this path. If you are going to go replica, make sure you spend the extra cash on someone experienced in fitting kits as a lot of replica's are ILL fitting and it will do more damage to the look of the car than you can imagine.

Sorry, "cheap" does not DOES NOT mean bad quality. Just as "expensive" does not mean top quality. Quality is quality and the quality of a kit is only know from history and inspection. I have seen enough people who have purchased "expensive" JDM kits and had to spend as much time as replica owners on getting it to fit.
Here is the original http://www.rmagic.net/rmrx8/rmrx8aero.htm and vendor that sells it locally in the US http://www.vividracing.com/catalog/i...4217_4218_4384

almost every replica kit sold in the US is garbage......there are a few exceptions but US companies worry more about cost than anything and the product suffers....especially in the fiberglass kits

I can say I did purchase this kit & unfortunately It does need a lot of work. Should I just have got the real R Magic? Most likely, but hey the car is going to a good shop (today) & it should come out looking great.

if your looking for a place that sells good quality products, you should check out grounddynamics.com
thats where i got my kit from, im sure it was all replica, but the fitting was easy, the guy at the shop and i put mine on, all we had to do for the "r-speed"/r-magic/razor front was to carve out an extra groove place for the side marker lights. that took like five minutes. but yeah .. thats me though.
