the front end has too many lines across it, and it looks almost stock. Not worth buying if it's virtually stock.
the side skirts are nice, but again, they don't seem to do much for the car. Unless you are an RX8 owner or know things about the car, most people will not notice you have an aftermarket body kit on it.

You know what it is? It's more stock than stock. You'd expect that Mazda was like "We gotta get those designers working for us!", and the Racing Beat guys are looking at the MazdaSpeed design thinking the same thing.

i think that some people just look for something different in a body kit... not necessarily something aggressive or drastic, just something that makes the car look good, yet different from stock. i agree that this kit looks more stock than most, but then again that's also it's appeal

The problem is, it's silver. So, you can't tell.
I have spent several minutes looking at the real car. I have gone back and looked at it several times over 2 days.
The side skirts add alot of flare. A hell of alot more than MS.
The tail is not a G35. It is much larger and shaped different. The guy at work has a G35 and I park next to him everyday. There is a big difference.
Also, please check the rear skirt. It's much better than MS too.
Now, lets talk quality;
I have seen several kits at the OC club meet. I have seen several kits at Seven stock.
I am highly disapointed with MS. The quality at Seven stock sucked. The appearance package had several gaps in the rear and on the sides.
This has been my experience with all MS kits. And most of the others too.
The only tight fit I have seen is with the front bumper. This is the case with all MS.
Now take RB:
No gaps what so ever. So tight you couldn't slide a piece of paper between the body and the kit. Of course this is the first one built, but if the production units are any where near the show pieces, expect a better fit and quality from RB.
I'm really disapointed with appearance packages from most of the competitors I have seen due to the lack of fit. Wait until you see the real RB before you judge it.

My favorite part is the rear aeroflares. I like them better than any I have seen. The rear under bumper is still stock. If I had to change one thing about the underbumper of the MS style rear end it would be to not leave the muffler surrounds open as they do. I like the mufflers coming out of an area instead of just poking out as they seem to do on the MS rear end. If only I could design something as such....wait a minute, I can. However, don't expect it any time soon... :D
I still like the rear aeroflares on this RB version and when they come out, I may just have to buy them.
