Racing Beat Type II Front Nose
I ordered this nose today. I had a question about the front grill, and was wondering if anyone that had bought it could answer this for me. I did a search but it turned up nothing. It says the center grill and oil cooler openings have a powder coated front grill. I was wondering if anyone knew if I would have to order the steel screens they sell for the openings or if the grill that comes with the bumper will do. Once I get this puppy installed I'll make sure to post some pics because I can't find many on the forum. Thanks again,
Will

It's in the mail, due in on wednesday... the guys from racing beat were very helpful when I called. Supposedly the grill that comes on the front nose is the same as the stock bumper. So you do need the screens (good thing I ordered them!). On a different note, I have never posted pictures of my car, so I guess now is the time to do that... Just hate to do it with all the scratches and such (I got into a wreck with a barbed wire fence ) but who cares...
The only side without dents or scratches:
Backside... scratches on bumper and just under trunk lid:
Dent from where I hit the fence post right infront of rear tire:
Another picture of the scratched on the bumper:
So in a few weeks my car will look pretty different, this is a list of what'll be done:
Clear corners
Racing Beat Front nose Type II
Racing Beat Grill, painted to match wheels
Rotora Slotted&Drilled Rotors
RX-8 B Pillars
Mazdaspeed interior red foot lamps
New stock back bumper (2 toned paint)
Rear lip spoiler I got from J here on the forums
2 toned paint on car (indention, roof, trunk to match wheels everything else stock silver)
I'll make sure to post pictures when its all done,
Will

So I got in my Rotora rotors and clear corners today. Was going to install everything tonight, but as I worked 8 hours, I am damn tired and only put on the back rotors and clear corners. The clear corners were a really easy install. The only thing that took some time was popping out the reflectors. Everytime I heard a :CRACK: I bit my tongue... it was scary lol. The rear rotors took a lot longer than the clear corners as you have to take off the calipers... that was probably what took the longest. My old stock rotors had cracked for some reason, making a thumping sound when I used the brakes so if I was gonna switch out one, might aswell do them all, right? lol. Anyways, I'll stop yappin' and show some pictures:

PS: Yes I know everything doesn't line up right on the clear corners... when I got in my wreck, it bent the front bumper down. It is going back into the shop tommorow morning, I picked it up from there after work today to install these guys. I think all in all, it was a great upgrade. Clear corners look clean. Rotors are lighter, eliminate the brake thumping, and improve breaking from what I can tell so far. comments?

I have not seen any other pictures other than racing beat's. From what I hear, their type 1 is a perfect fit so I'm expecting no less from the type 2 bumper. It comes unpainted. As soon as I get it on there I'll get some pics up. My car goes in for 2tone paint, paint chip, and dent repairs. Come the end of next week will have it back from the shop and I will post the progress. Hopefully my B pillars come in before then too. It is a busy month for my 8

Figured I'd give an update. The trunk, roof, and hood are drying right now from paint. I just got in the RB nose & gill today. I willpost pictures sometime next week with everything done. I cannot wait to get my car back looking so pretty. It has sucked not having a car the past 2 weeks.

Yeah, it looks pretty good. This is fiberglass, right? I wonder how flexible it is, so that it won't crack.
One question though: what's the point installing the RB oil cooler screens? Looks like the bumper comes with mesh already, so getting the screens is overkill and it even might decrease airflow.
Does anybody actually have the RB rear wing? I have never seen any picture of that, apart from the pics from Racing Beat themselves.
From the pics on the forum (or lack of them) it looks they are not selling too many of their body kit pieces.

Yes, the nose is made out of fiberglass. And much like most fiberglass pieces, it does not give too much and is fairly stiff. Unless I hit something rather large, I'm not worried about it cracking. I'll worry about that when/if it happens though.
My body guy said this bumper will take minimal sanding, primer, and it's ready for paint. The bumper came with all hardware. And both the bumper and screens came with installation instructions which explain removal of the front bumper aswell as the installation of the products.
As for the grill, it is made out of the same material the OEM bumper is made of and is thinner than the OEM grill. If a rock were to hit that there would be a hole the size of the rock. So, I ordered the screens to protect my baby. I havn't decided wheter I'm going to keep the screens on that came with the bumper or just use the steel screens. I think both would look cool as I'm getting them both powder coated to match the 2nd paint color. I am not really worried about air getting through with both screens, as the holes are large enough for sufficient air.
As for the RB spoiler, I think it's a fine spoiler and it would be my 2nd favorite. I chose to go with the Evo-R spoiler, and certainly don't regret it after seeing it on the car today with the different colored trunk!
I am getting very excited seeing my car so close to completion. I get it back next week, then it's time to cruise!

And yes I'm installing both the a/c and oil cooler screens.

Update... paint, EVO-R Spoiler, decals, painted calipers, and start of the fiberglass enclosure.
I hit invert colors in paint. Thought it looked cool:
