Rear Rotary brake lite?
I am a new owner of a Sunlight Silver Sake Sipper and I am loving it.
Just yesterday I was cruising down the road when I heard the 'beep, beep' as a yellow RX-8 pulled up beside me and then passed my car. I followed alone behind until we came to a redlight. When he braked the rear Rotary emblem lit (bright red it was)up. I have been searching the internet trying to find one of these brake lights. Does anyone have any idea where they are sold? I guess it could have been home-made but it was surely eye-catching.

Thanks.
Thanks for all the help.
I built my rear lite yesterday for about $35.00.
I will post pics later.
I went to the local Pepboys(auto parts store) and bought a rear brake lite assembly, wiring , connnectors and the bulb.
I removed the polished rear rotary accent piece from the rear and used it to draw out a pattern on an old set of Ford ranger taillites. Once I had the plastic cut I sanded it smooth on the sides. I then used Goop household glue to attach the lens to the accent piece. (The Goop is so strong it will glue water together). I then drilled the hole, ran the wires to the left rear brake light and use in-line connectors to splice the new brake wiring to the factory brakelite wiring. I used a small amount of Goop to secure and waterproof the new brakelite assembley, install the brakelite and replaced the lens/accent piece with double-backed tape as is done by the factory.
I embellished the lens with a thin piece of metal air-conditioner tape around and on the front edge of the lens. This tape is actually metal and will not come loose once applied and it looks so cool..
For about 2hours work and $35.00 I have a fantastic looking third lite.

Genius! Way worth it then paying 200 bucks. Post pics so we can see, i was thinking about buying a red emblem that you place in the middle of the accent but if you made one on your own id rather do that.
