:D Well, actually those are the one I wanna install, so may be I should change the subject to "Which one I should install?"

spoiler or no spoiler

Hello everyone i have a black rx-8 with the gt package. My question is should i get the spoiler on my black 8. I Know i am going to get the rotary accent soon but just cannot decide whether i should get the spoiler or not. My dealer said they will have an aftermarket spoiler that looks exactly like the factory one by next thursday.
Thanks for your opinions

I'm going to wait until the lip spoiler is offered (aftermarket or not) before I make the decision to spoiler or not.

Then I'll have to decide between wing or lip....

What is the lip spoiler going to look like? Oh i see you are still waiting for your auto 8. I have had my auto since 8/12, and i love it. If people tell you it is not powerful enough then they are crazy. Plus the paddle shifters are tons of fun.

I've had a dealer tell me the same about ordering a wing like the factory wing. It will be cheaper. Don't know how much, though I've seen aftermarket ads for around $150.

Hey Rotor!

Don't worry. I've test driven the AT 8 at my dealer, twice, and I think it's a lot faster than my old car, 2k Celica GT-S. Can't wait for mine to come in....

Oh. Here's a link to pics of the lip spoiler:
Lip Spoiler

IMO, it'll be cool to drive it without the spoiler for a while and then with - sort of like a different car.

i am holding out for the Euro spoiler as well. it does not disrupt the profile of the rear, it just accentuates it.

plus, the Euro spoiler reminds me of the lip spoilers on the NA miatas (90-97).

spoiler over lip

To me the lip is not very noticable at all. I like the regular spoiler.Glad to hear the good news about automatics....I have one on order and yet to even test drive one!!! My dealer does not have one yet to test drive.

I got the regular wing spoiler. DIdnt think I was going to get it, but when I saw the car with it on, decided I liked the way it looked.

I wanna go for mazdaspeed spoiler, but it is too expensive now. I guess I just wait for the duplicate one.

Spoiler Self Installation

Hey Folks!

Has anyone ordered and installed (by themselves) the factory spoiler? If so, were there any tricks to make it easier and look factory installed?

I'd like to order one and do it myself....just don't trust those Mazda Guys!

Thanks!

also price makes a huge difference i like the mazdaspeed just hate the $1,000 price tag. so i went aftermarket factory look for $250.00 (not lip spoiler)

Personally, I don't like GT wings. Those r too huge, too scary, too ugly. I like both R Magic and Mazdaspeed. :D

yes, i got mine today.....nice job, looks just like the factory spoiler....very very easy to install. they give you everything you need unless you want to go one beyond and silicone up the whole thing. but it looks very good....i am happy. very short time to install as well.

it hurts to drill holes though!
