removing moonroof wind deflector

I'm thinking of removing my moonroof wind deflector. Is it really only the two screws? I read about other people doing this so i'm assuming they don't leave holes... sorry if this has been asked before but i couldn't find anything about the process.

Thanks!

I think it is hella ugly. Glad you are taking it off. It doesnt require screws into the roof fortunately.

Well, I took it off and it definitely looks better. What got me to thinking about doing it was seeing my car next to a bunch of other 8s at the latest chicagorotary meet and none of them had it - and i liked the look they had without it better.

I do have a very faint line on the paint where the rubber gaskets were. I tried some old mequiars paint cleaner i had in the garage but that didn't take it off. I think i remember reading yesterday where someone used a clay bar to get that stuff off. I've never used one - can you use it on just a portion of the car?

You may want to ask the question in the Show and Shine forum. I have no experience in claybars. At least the line is on the top of the car as opposed to the sides.

I think most people on here do not have the deflector.

Bummer.
