Hey guys,

I may have to at least partially remove one of my MS sideskirts, because the clip in front broke and the tape there began pulling away from the car. Now, I have a little gap in that section.

I believe the OEM/MS sideskirts use 3M double-sided tape, or at least something comparable to it. I checked 3M's website, and there are just so many kinds of tape there, and I don't know which kind would match the thin strips of tape that you find on the sideskirts. Does anyone know the item # for this kind of 3M tape, or know of a store (online or otherwise) that sells the stuff?

I'd say get the 3M industrial double sided tape, which I believe it's pretty much the same as the one that came with the side skirt. They are sold in Home Depot.

BTW, where did you get your new clips? I broke one during my installation too but I found a similar one in my tool box.

 

I bought my 1/4" tape off eBay.
I didn't use the clips to mount it.
I instead used 1" Velcro buttons.
It's held well and is very tight.
I didn't have the heart to drill into my side panels....
