Replacement trunk lid w/ integrated lip spoiler
I was looking at Miata body kits for some reason, and I came across this:

I am a big fan of the Mazdaspeed body kit, as it gives the car a decidedly Viper GTS look in the front. But IMHO it doesn't do nearly as well on the back of the car, which I think is the car's weakest styling point--to me it looks rather bland, narrow, and sort of weak. It's not awful looking mind you, it just isn't as nice as the front of the car.
I always thought the MS kit would look better if it continued the Viper influence towards the back of the car. Namely, a ducktail spoiler or whatever you want to call it. I've seen lip spoilers and such for the RX-8, but I never thought they looked as good as they could because they were either too small/oddly proportioned, or they look tacked on.
Well, why not pay a little bit more and just replace the whole trunk lid? That way, you eliminate the seam, and therefore achieve a much more factory look. Compare lip spoilers at gomiata.com and look at tacked-on vs. the replacement trunk lid I posted. The replacement lid looks vastly better if you ask me. Sure, it costs twice as much as the tacked-on spoilers, but it's still cheaper than the MS boomerang spoiler.
Does anyone make something like this? If not, why not? Get cracking, vendors!
