Whats the deal with roof scoops on front engine cars. I see them on rally cars etc, i assume its for cockpit cooling, maybe im wrong. But why do people put them on their street cars?? Are their any for an 8?? pics?? photochops?? I just noticed while playing NFS:Underground

If you are serious about rallying, you strip all the 'excess weight' out.

The aircon has obviously got to go, why stop there, the heater and fan is heavy - then you just cut a hole in the roof for ventilation.

If you keep the heater and a/c, but stick a phony scoop on the roof, you are a 'ricer'.

haha, im not serious about ralllying, and I certainly wouldnt put one of these on any car. I was just playing that game and wondering why anyone would do that, do they actually cut a hole in their roof?? plus my picture kicks ***!

Take it off the roof and make a copy and put both on the front of the hood, one on each side, it might look better, but it would kill the aerodynamics I think.
