No problem painting over plastic, just make sure to use a proper color so it won´t come off. =)
I like the RUN covers, although it looks like it´s a bit different from the stock RX-8 white... or is it just the light? BUT!, I would really like to see some brushed aluminium details on the mirrors...

They look nice ... would like to see what they look like from the other side. In the pictures the black "frame" around the mirror does not "look" to be complete. Curious how they terminate the cover on the other side.

always apply plastic primer
i will be color coding the side mirrors.
it will probably cheaper and easier to buy the covers than actually take the mirrors off, pull it apart (to get to the folding sections), prep, paint, and assemble.
