Ruined my rear bumper

Do I get it repainted (Winning Blue) or try to get a new bumber for a decent price and paint that? Does the MS rear come with the actual bumper or just the diffuser? Which other bumpers come painted if any? The MS rear has an option to be painted right?
Thanks,
-BigRed
Also, how is it possible that I ruined it from trying to wax it? Isnt that just an oxymoron. I used the machine for the first time and look what happens. Not trying it again

Got to be careful with those machines, good excuse to upgrade though.

if you apply too much force, friction becomes overwhelming and it heats up...this happens. Good luck

ms bumper comes with just the bottom part. You'll need your oem bumper still.

factor about 350 for the rear bumper + paint costs. You already have a rear bumper...

Yep that'll do it. What "machine" were you using?

looks like the rear bumper wasnt prepared properly before the re-paint. i'd take it back to the bodyshop where you got it re-painted and ask why.

im confused. i didnt repaint it yet. The paint came of because of the friction. if you look at the close ups you can see little specs of blue paint in the center. Who knows, i might have knocked it off by accident. in any case, it'll need to be repainted.

note to myself: read the forum post more carefully next time.

let me try again...
the paint job on your rear bar may have been prep'd poorly before it was painted or the edge of the machine have rubbed out that section (due to speed and the heat, you may want to reduce the spining speed on those areas). good to pay more attention next time when using the machine again.

Agreed, just get it repainted—there's no reason to get a new bumper (unless, of course, you've been looking for an excuse to get a different one).

since it isnt the end of the world re-paint, i think im just going to get it repainted. in the meantime, save up for wheels, body kit, and sway bars.
thanks for the help!

I have a blue oem bumper I could sell you - cheap, but shipping may be a pain. It's not in perfect condition, but it has all of the paint on it. If you are interested - let me know and I can take some pics for you.
