So recently, I purchased an HID kit for my RX8. I looked up the part and it appears the fog lights are size H11. I took off my bumper to get to the fog lights, and took the stock halogen bulbs out. When I went to go fit my HID bulb in, the bulb did not fit. It turned out that the bulb was too long and did not fit. I compared it to the halogen bulb and its like half the size (length-size). Anyone know whats going on?

 

there are two things you can do.
1. get some needle nose pliers and bend the reflector till it breaks off. shape it enough so that it fits through the opening [this method is a complete bitch to do]

2. you can bend the reflector down a bit to fit the bulb. just be careful its bent down enough to fit, but not too low that it might damage the bulb when you turn to lock the bulb in.

and just to make sure, no relay was required right?

 

if its a P&P kit, then it should be as easy as that.
