RX8Strakes.com Fender Vents need replacing, but from where?
I bought a set of fender vents from RX8Strakes.com in chrome finish about 6-7 months ago. Looked good, matched the wheels.
About 4 months ago the chrome started to flake off all over both vents. I take amazing care of my things, so it's not my fault. I sent RX8strakes.com an email and they said I could mail them my vents, and they sent me new ones. So it only cost me ~12$ for a new set.
Its been another 3-4 months and its flaking... again. I looked on their website and they dont even offer the same ones anymore. I think I want a set of black ones, but would prefer a gloss black because the flat black on the car takes a lot of "back to black" to keep looking good. I am a bit weary to buy from them again, have not yet tried to ask for anything yet. They have a set of clearcoat OEMs I saw. But has anyone had a good experience with these things? Or does anyone know a different company for ordering vents?
For the record, I have ordered from RX8Strakes.com about 4 times, and have been satisfied with almost everything. But these vents are crap. Look good, but dont last.

I had the plastic color matched rx8strakes for awhile. They started to flake so I used a 25% off coupon from my local dealership and purchased the OEM one and I love em. If your local dealership doesnt have a good price then check out http://www.finishlineperformance.com...5&cat=0&page=1

Interesting.............I know this is about vents, but I too had the Ti-Gray matched strakes and after about 6 months my first set flaked as well. They repainted them for free and I myself put about 8 coats of clearcoat on them this time. They have lasted well over that six months this time.

I was thinking of using my dremel and cutting out the middle part and attaching a screen, so it'll still attach like oem.
Anyone have any recommendations where to get good screen? In the past ive used gutter gard, which is too big, and screen door screen, which is too small.
