Seen the RE Super-G kit?

I agree, it looks like a celica. If they kept the stock lights, I think the kit would look pretty sweet. I like the smooth lines.
It might even be cool if they just got rid of the inner lights, it would have a porsche-like look to it.

That's really the Poor man's Porsche. I think that's the problem I have with the Rotary Xecret RX-7 with that chamealeon color, RE kit..etc.. looks like a poor man's Porsche. For all that money and modifications, you could have gotten a really fast Porsche.
I'm all for fixing up a car to look cool and whatnot. But if the total add-ons + the cost of the car exceeds let' say.. a Ferrari Modena... Uhh.. I would rather get the Ferrari.
At the LA Auto show someone had a 150k+ addon Civic... guess what, it's still a Civic to me.

I've been posting pics of that car, the painted version, in another thread.

It doesn't look that bad but it doesn't look like an 8 anymore. I can understand making it your own car but with that kit it takes away the style that attracted people to the car in the first place.

I love when aftermarket designers come up with a design that totally changes the production car's lines. This is a prime example of someone having really great vision. There's a little bit of Mercedes or Pagani flavor going on there. I think we look at these kits and give them a thumbs up or down without thinking about how much work actually goes into just the drawing and conception stage, let alone production. I really like this design....because it is so different. It looks pretty clean. Although, if you're going to drastically change the front end, why not do the same with the rear?.
