Holy crap, is it just the camera angle or do you treat your brakes with something to make them look that good? Mine are rusted in various parts (I'm sure mostly due to the high precip of Tropical Storm Frances that just blew through, but still...) and I don't know what to do about it, except perhaps to paint the rotors/calipers, which I don't have the time to do right now anyway.

Here are a few pics of my install. I still need to permanently mount the strakes. I'm still not sold on the gun metal color but I solicit opinions.

These take a lot more work than you would know and that takes my time away from here.

Finally! A pic of non-shiny strakes :D Okay for the first time evAr, I actually think someone's strakes look good on their car! Very nice choice Trix. Thanks for all those shots and especially the fuller length profile. Very nice indeed. I'm anxious to see some more pics of darker colored strakes.

Hey Dennis how well do you think would those gunmetal strakes would go with my Ti?

Shocka has the Titanium 8 with these on it. He says the gun metal gray part of this paint closely matches the OEM color. The Mica part of the Gun Metal Gray is a metal flake and sets them off.

However, if you are looking at straight gun metal, we could do that. For the past week or so, derwankle and I have been seeking a way to do this production jointly. We came to an agreement on how to produce these products in the same manner and consolidated our two ventures into one.

You can see the pricing and how to order by going to the following link: https://www.rx8club.com/dls-customs-closed-89/rx8fun-products-pricing-37845/

Dennis thank you. If I read that correctly, then ordering via the link provided by Derwankle in his post would be kosher, and is a combined business arrangement. Yah?

I have more questions if I may. In all seriousness this is the first time I thought strakes actually added to the overall appearance of our beloved 8. Now, I see there is an option for 3 strakes...I'd sure like a picture of that.

I did a search for Shocka and came across his DMENAC7 strakes thread here https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...ghlight=shocka . Holy **** those look outstanding! And I see 2 more happy customers posted on your thread including Pret who I know here locally. I'm PM'ing him now to see how his install turned out. Okay so 3 things if you please: 1) I'm thinking you and I once again will do business but I really need to see a pic of your (you and Derwankle now?) 3 strake set before I decide. And 2) I need your personal opinion on the gunmetal as shown by Shocka -vs- the straight gun metal you mentioned below. 3) Do we actually drill a hole into the black thingy these attach to...sounds like I should get a body shop install?

I realize you are busy. Feel free to PM me when you get a chance instead of posting here if that makes things any easier. I appreciate your time.

Understood. That reminds me. I should take time away from here to finish my materials lab.

I like the triple strake job on your RX-8 derwankel. It looks very art deco.

From those pics, you could have told me they were the $200 OEM strakes and I wouldn't have questioned you about it.

Thank you Derwankel. That leaves me with only 1 question left, since I found another post by Dennis announcing your merger. Congrats gentlemen

All I need now is some info on the gunmetal. You guys have a hella thing going.

I think the strakes themselves look great, but 3 of them on each side, as someone said in that thread, makes the car look too much like a Crossfire. Not a big fan. That's just my personal opinion, and I hope to be ordering the regular set of 4 strakes from you guys very soon anyway!
