I used the last picture as a starting point. Near the end they seemed to be getting pinkish. Let me know if its too pink.

That blood red looks pretty nice. Gotta see if I can get a chip from them. I wonder if this might be a little TOO flashy? I dont want to be a rolling ticket magnet.

That might look good, but I kinda want to be solid. For some reason, any design that I can think of, from stripes to ghost flames to two-tone, makes me think I might be going too far. If I had a brilliant solid red, I would be happy.

 

Agree 100%. If its not being turned into a full blown show car, there's no need for that uber "look at me from a mile away" paint job.

I think 1 or 2 shades lighter of that "blood red" would look fantastic. Not as dark as the apple, but lighter.

i think that blood red looks really awesome. but i dont know how that would translate into painting all the door jams and trunk edges, etc.

 

I'm with kersh - that blood red is pretty awesome. I don't think a few shades of red will make the difference in whether or not you're a ticket magnet.

I would think with that red, painting the door jambs and such wouldn't be a huge issue.

It's a shame the Eclipse and HHR have ruined orange for the rest of us.

 

Ok. My painter finally got the Alsa corp. Blood Red dye and has made a few chips for me. Hopefully, I can get the car in this week!!! Soon I will be saying good by to my VR RX8 and saying hello to my BR RX8!!!

I am seriously excited. I am also significantly poorer.

 

No one told me that Paint was going to take so long! So far, I have the door sills finished. The rest should be done by next week!



The phone camera does not do this justice, but I think you can see how much more "alive" this paint is from VR. Not saying that VR is bad or anything, but this is better!!

In decembre, I'll fix my body kit + brand new paint : full mate black

 

The cost for the sills was worth the look. Not really that much more. Plus the difference in color is significant enough that it would look funny when you open the door.

Sorry for the largish pics and poor picture quality.

Paint looks completely different when in the sun.

Some of the parts were just painted and did not have final polish. No Orange Peel when finished.
