Some *** hit my car!

Leavin the bar this morning and some fucktard totally smashed my car as they pulled out. Then they fled the scene but for once a cop saw the whole thing and caught that son of a bitch. Cop called and said they gave him a DUI and hit and run! Kid was only 22. No damn scence left in people! Here are some pics.......

Aww ****. Sorry this happened man. Damn people driving under the influence. Are you going to get a bodyshop to repair it or replace it? The taillight looks cracked too. His insurance is paying right?

Oh wow... you're def gonna have to take it to a body shop. The only way to fix that quarter panel is to cut it off and re-weld a replacement. That sucks!

Hope there isnt a dent in the suicide door...they'll have to replace the whole thing if so. For some reason the insurance comapnies dont allow a repair to those doors. MAybe because it is a structural member.

Rear doors are aluminium which doesn't help with the cost factor.

Nightmare - glad they caught him!

Door may need complete replace (as mentioned above) because they are Aluminium - guess not as strong after a dent - like steel.

dont take it to just a bodyshop... take it to ur dealer's collision center. garuanteed/waranteed work with OEM parts. especially since his insurance will be paying

I'd be ******* PISSED if that was my car. Sorry to hear about that. I think the guy should spend some time at a hospital visiting some of the victims of drunk drivers.

So earlier today while I was at work, I was reading this specific topic about the guy who hit "Broke Apex Seal's" car. I could not help to think of how pissed I would be if someone hit my car. So it's 8pm and I'm in my apartment and I decide that I needed to take the trash out. I proceeded to the dumpter past my car and noticed there was a note on my windshield. It was from a woman who said that she accidentally hit my car while it was parked. I looked at the car and didn't notice anything peculiar at first, but then I dropped something on the floor. As I bent down to pick up what I had dropped, I noticed a 3" X 4" square dent on the front part of my car right off the grille. I WAS ******* PISSED. So now I have to go through the deal of getting my car fixed and dealing with this woman's insurance company. I have only had the car 8 months and have only 17k miles on it and it's already been hit. Just thought I should vent my anger to some of the fellow owners on here. Have a good night.

Wow, that sucks. Although you should be lucky she owned up to her mistake. I hate when people do things like that and run, leaving all responsibility for their actions on you. If I were you, I'd be thankful that I don't have to pay for, pissed at the whole situation, but thankful that some people still have tact.

darn right. Some A-hole sideswiped my parked 8 last year to the tune of $3500, and of course disappeared. I can vouch for the rear door having to be replaced if damaged. They aren't usually in stock either, so you can count on an extra week just to get one.

dude,

that sucks, man. seems like there's always somethin' shitty happenin' to yer ride. hopefully, this will be the last of it.

off topic, Ray introduced me to Dave up at PFS last week when I picked up my car. I showed him my gauge pod and he said he could fix it. When I bring the car back up there with the Mazsport Interceptor-X, he said he could work on it. Could you PM me his address or phone number? I just wanna touch base with him again. Appreciate it, dude.

hopefully the insurance is gonna pay for everything and a little more - like pain an' sufferin' for bangin' up on such a sweet ride. take care, man.

dd sends...

Ouch. How does that work though? Does your insurance pay it and then raise your premium? I don't really know all that much about insurance
