Some helpful news regarding condensation and mazdaspeed parts.

Hey guys, glad to be a part of this forum with my Ti Grey baby!

Anyway today I went into my dealer for the "flash" upgrade, which I didn't need (have the latest but wanted to see if there was anything I was missing).

So the service manager asked me to show him what was wrong with my headlights and I showed him where the water was getting under the gasket and he said, "no problem, we will order two right now". I was so happy he didn't give me a hassle. I also asked him about their policy regarding mazdaspeed equipement since some dealers have said that they will not honor warranty. Well good news, my dealer (colonial mazda) WILL HONOR ALL WARRANTY. From the bodykit, to the flywheel, to the exhaust, etc.

These guys in Ct are great. Even though I live in new york it is worth the drive. Any questions? Just e-mail me or respond. Thanks guys.

i believe that if its a mazdaspeed part and the dealer puts it on for u, its under the warranty. Every dealer I've been to, which is only the one in cerritos and galpins, honor their warranties and replace or fix anything that should be covered.

not true....

in my case at least. I have had conflicting reports from two other dealers that have said that it might void warranty in some cases.

But now I have verified with the dealer from which I purchased my 8 from so that is all that matters. They will honor it which makes me so releived.

now on to ordering some parts!

Hey Kel....

They actually ordered two brand new headlight assemblys for me and will call me when it comes in.

This just bothered me although I know many would not even care but it does fall under the warranty and the reason why I requested this was because I do not want this to get worse and in the future have a really bad condensation problem. I mine as well get it taken care of now. Only have had the car about 3.5 weeks.

GO to your dealer if this bothers you like it did me and I am sure they will take care of you.
