Spoilers weigh in!

Hey, just looking for a non-conventional spoiler solution for my whitewater rx-8. I opted to not get the factory spoiler because it just looks a little too plain for my tastes. The problem with good spoilers though, is finding the line between looking cool, and looking rice. Anybody find anything really tasty for their 8?

I hate following crowds, but in my eyes, the Mazdaspeed wing is about the only wing that looks right on the RX-8.

you really are going to want to match your spoiler with the rest of your cars exterior. What else do you have on there, body kit? appearance package???? Last thing you want is an aggressive spoiler and subtle body kit (or vice versa)

Well as of yet i haven't done really anything to the car. I have only had her a month, and work and school have been kinda crazy. I'm actually most likely not going to do a kit until I do some other more performance oriented upgrades first. But yeah, I've got the pearl white, so I think the mazdaspeed spoiler would look great. Anyone know where I can get one?

there are a couple people here that have bought the MS replica wing..... fitment is supposed to be pretty good... you can usually find one on ebay for around $250 + shipping

WOW I had no idea how expensive the genuine Mazdaspeed spoiler was! I guess it's the replica for me ;-) Anyone know of any quality issues with replicas? I just don't understand why the real one costs that much? BTW, thanks for the ebay idea- any other places to check?

PLAN AHEAD!!!
If you don't know what kit your going to get in the future but do actually plan on getting one... wait till then to get your wing.

IMO the MS Spoiler with no appearance package or other kit... will look horrible.
The 8 looks good with no wing. I've been waiting 4 months to get mine, and took my stock wing off 2 months ago. I really don't mind the flush, no wing look at all.

I agree with BigO

I had the mazdaspeed wing on mine... but I have a kit on. It would look out of place without any ground effects. I took off my spoiler, and i'm starting to like the look without it now, but i have holes in my trunk. decide what you really want ahead.

I was afraid of that and ended up swapping trunks for free with someone. If you still have your MS Wing, im sure you can swap trunks VERY EASILY with another black 8 owner in SoCal. Unless of course you already have a new spoiler in mind that will cover the holes created by the MS Wing.

I have the appearance package on mine. i like the way the front lip works with the sideskirts and the spoiler. i think this car def needs the spoiler.

The mazdaspeed spoiler isn't anything great or great looking, honestly I think that the stock rounded spoiler looks better if you don't have any body kits on.

Prepare for flaming!!! I like the look of the X-men wing. Check www.thespoilerfactory.com for a decent selection of wings. Comes painted in a perfect match!
