I ordered a set last night- I was searching for a 1:18 scale model rx8 and saw these. I can't wait- do these look like the polished ones? they are not too shiney- which look fine sinec I have titanium. I also ordered clear conrner from them- Japan imports.com

I'd say they're polished. Look at how the number on the box is reflected in the first one. That wouldn't happen if they were satin or brushed.

In their ebay description it says "polished", but can't tell from the picture. They sell both the polished and brushed type on their website. The website price is $205! $149 is a pretty good discount.

I received mine today and just finished installing them.
Shipping was superfast, considering it was coming from Japan. (Exactly 7 days after I did the buy it now on ebay!)

They are the polished aluminum ones and authentic mazda part.
Instructions are in japanese, but all I needed was the templete and the info from the DIY thread on here.

More pictures can be found here.

Is it really??? Ahh.... I think I want one now.

I always want a bodykit - and I don't think it goes together, or do they?

All mine screwed in tight. Check if the screw is stripped. If it only needs alittle more, try adding an extra washer or two.

I'm planning on getting the mazdaspeed sides and rear, plus some aftermarket front lip soon. I think the strakes will still look good with it.
It's all about what YOU think looks good on YOUR 8.

bought a set from them in January, was missing when delivered, claimed insurance and a few weeks later got a second set, you wouldn't believe 1 piece missing (only 3 strakes). Decided to get another set from a local dealer and after reading the "cheap fender strakes" thread here decided on putting 3 strakes on. Now very happy after all that.
