stuck on seibon hoods

hey guys im looking through the seibon carbon fiber hoods and I can't make a decision just yet on which one im gonna buy. Does anyone have photos of the one they chose that they can post so I can take a look. I really like the TSII TS and TT so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a t hood painted to match the car. I like that it kind of keeps a stock look with the rotor shape in the hood.

I got the TSII hood for me, but that's because I have the Accolade CSpec fenders so the vents match.

the TSII is actually the one I like the most. The only thing that concerns me is does it increase drag.

If you're concerned with drag and weight, you should know that our hood is already incredibly light you're not likely to see any weight loss by switching to a CF hood, specially if you get it painted. For our car CF hoods are more aesthetic than anything else. Some members have said that the vents help cooling, but others say that it doesn't.

I love the look and weight isn't an issue. The only thing Im curious about is does it increase drag and lower the speed ability.

it won't reduce drag in any noticable fashion.
buy the one you like as these hoods are mainly aesthetic in nature. Though I could see some helping in cooling.

I've read the ones with vent above radiator actually helps cooling like TS II, but I would think it works best with stock air box removed (and battery relocated?).
I plan to get TSII or the ones with similar vent location in the future tho.

All seibon hoods come with an inner rain guard which you would need to remove to benefit from any cooling effect.

no, they do not all come with the rain guard.
Seibon uses two different manufacturers to product their hoods and both do not always include the rain guard. You got a 50/50 shot...

Alright guys I have had the hood on for a week now. Well off and on. Heres a couple things you should know. First off I won't be recommending the guys who sent me the hood, it was the lowest price but it took a month to get it. Second Seibon and VIS Racing are using the same fabricators to sell the same products. The only difference is a serial number riveted in. No one makes rain guards anymore so your on your own there. I will be taking a photo of the car when the sun comes back. The reason I have been swapping hoods is the thunderstorms we have had for a week and a half now. I havn't had good light to photograph the car in. It does not come with hood mounting bolts, or a hood latch. So if you don't want one the color of the vehicle you will need to order black ones from mazda. You do have to adjust the hoods mounting a little bit to avoid damaging it. Make sure you pull it forward on its mounts before you tighten them.

I ordered it from autobahn but I would suggest you go with ilovebodykits instead. I will get photos probably middle of next week when the weather clears.

I stuck your hood bullit in the box my carbon came on. I will probably leave it as is since its for spirited drives so the rocks can **** it up and not the carbon.

WRONG.
rain guards are still available, you just need to stop buying knock-offs.

I emailed seibon and they told me otherwise... I went straight to seibon with my question on rain guards just so I wouldn't have to search all over to find them. The rep there told me they do not provide them any longer, and that if I wanted them that I would need to goto a body shop and have the made. And I meant autobarber I have been up for two days now doing crap without rest.

Its a beautiful hood, only weighs 15 lbs. I'm satisfied with it. Especially since this hood is coated to protect it from the sun. My last one on my 427 mustang was not, and that thing was a straight pain in the *** to care for.
