Terrible color matching

So i drive red rx-8 (velocity red, 27A)
Well, I had an accident over the chrismas break.... total estimated cost came up to be $13000. It was mainly the front driver's side; front bumper, headlight, airbags, suspension, wheel, tire.....etc. were replaced.

And I 've been driving since last mid Feb. again. Fortunately, my car doesnt seem like having any mechanical problems.

But the problem is that the color of hood and the bumper dont really match.
The replaced bumper and the driver side's fender was painted in a noticible darker color than the original color.
The body shop says that since the hood was not the part of the accident, insurance wouldnt pay for color blending of hood. And I am sick and tired of their unprofessional way of dealing with customers so I just decided to fix it out of my pocket.

So my questions is.... what will be the best way to match the color?
Some adviced me to have the color blend job done for hood and each fender to look least different. and some recommended to just repaint the fender and hood with perfect matching color.
and having blend job done in all parts would cost me alot instead of just repainting the front bumper. And I am worried that the front bumper wont match with the original color after only repainting the bumper.

Thanks for reading and please help me out guys!

save up, get a custom paint job. It should only be a few hundred more from what you are already looking at spending and then you have a sweet new paint job.

find a different boday shop for the starters.
the VR is a major PITA to match & paint, so you'd need to find someone who knows what he/she is doing. if he/she is really good, no blendings will be required.
other than that, there's not much you can do.

generally, plastic bumper bars will have a slight different shade to the metal parfts of the car (ie. guards, bonnet, bootlid etc) due to different materials, but it shouldnt be very visible unless it is directly under the sun.

Oh~ I purchased Rx-8 from Canada. Could it be the reason why the color code is different?
But i still think that it should be same.

Some lady hit my car while it was parked. $2500 worth of damage. The body shop was able to match my velocity-red perfect, down to the paint flakes, and to blend it in so that any minor difference was not noticible.

Tell them their work is unacceptable and dont accept any excuses.
