The application period for the Test Fitment of our RX-8 MS Style Urethane Kit has officially ended. Please do not send any additional applications. We will carefully review all applicants and e-mail the selected individual in a day or two.
After the entire process has been completed we will post pictures of the results regardless whether we decide to distribute the kit or not. Please check back for updates and please feel free to leave any questions that you may still have.
We would like to thank everyone for their support and interest in testing our kit. For those who did not get a chance to apply for the test fitment but would like to be on our official MS Style Urethane Kit mailing list, please provide us with your information at aerowerksonline@yahoo.com.
Thanks,
AeroWerksOnline

Any way we can visit the location to see the kit in person? I've seen the real Mazdaspeed kit, the cheap fiberglass AAS kit, and another generic Mazdaspeed clone kit... would like to see how well the Urethane kit you guys have.

Thanks for all your patience and interest in our MS Style Urethane Kit. We have selected a person for the test fitment but will leave it up to them to decide when and if they will reveal themselves. There will be a day or two delay because of cars that are already currently being worked on at our shop. However, the entire process should take about 3 to 4 days (if not faster) once we get it started. We of course will take a good amount of pictures to show in detail the fitment of the kit. So far, everything is going well.
We are hoping to have everything done very soon and if possible have the actual kits being sent to us within a week or two (pending review). If the fitment is good, we will ask that the selected individual to attend a couple of meets (but of course that would be up to that person). Regardless, we’ll make arrangements to either bring the kit to a meet or request that person to go. Hopefully you guys will get a chance to see it first hand within the next 2 weeks.
Outlaw…
Because the kit is in its test fitment and we’re not sure whether we will officially carry it, we cannot allow anyone to see the kit until its finished. However, once it is, perhaps the selected individual will agree to your requests.
Thanks!
Or how about we have our own meet? Free food?! =)

Are you using Reaction Injection Molding (RIM) as your process and a Polyurethane Polymer? Been awhile since I was involved with that technology but I THINK if you are, you can handle the slightly (?) higher injections pressures of a Polyurea polymer which has much better physical properties eg. SAG in horizontal sections at high temperatures.
Do you have use a local formulator or are you using a system from one of the large chemical companies such as Bayer or Dow?
Either way, can't wait for pictures and physical properties...

Great news guys! I just got the official word yesterday and WE ARE going to distribute the MS Style Urethane kit in the US market! I really appreciate everyone's patients and participation in the test fitment. I will be going down to the shop tomorrow to take pictures and have them posted right when I come back. I will see if the selected individual will be willing to head down to the next car meet so that everyone can take a look.
I’m currently talking to everyone from Aerowerks on the matter of pricing.. I will be having a meeting with them the same day so I’ll give the official word Thursday night. I will try my best to bring down a really good group buy price for all of you true RX8 enthusiast and especially for all those applicants.
I know many of your think business is business, but I do really appreciate everyone’s participation and comments in this thread and I’ll try to pay all of you back by getting a good price for you guys.
Thanks,
Will

sorry guys.. the link won't be working for awhile...
Our post fell under group buys so we crossed some lines. It was our fault to offer up too much information that made it a thread that needed approval. We're currently working out a deal with the mods in terms to bring back the thread. They were only doing what's right, our fault.
Everything should be cleared up soon...

Do the bumper test... drive up into a low driveway... and see if that cracks. The last 3 kits I've had cracked when I tried to go up a low curb area. Even though I did the crazy wideass turn that makes me look like a driveway hog.

I'll tell you something I did weeks ago. So I doubted the quality of the kit when I was talking to one of the guys at the shop but these guys know a lot more than I do so I was assuming it would be much like a fiberglass kit.
Giving me full permission, they handed me the front bumper and I held about waist high (I'm about 6 ft tall). They told me to let it go and I did. Didn't crack. I was surprised. I wouldn't recommend you do this but I was really surprised. Hope that’s encouraging. Of course you shouldn't go around throwing around your kit, but it does give some idea of the quality. No bad at all.
