TSII hood question...

I've tried searching for this and have found mixed answers from not only people who own them but people who dont.

For the people that own them, installed them or seen them in person, what is your impression of the fitment?

I have this hood.. Just bolting it on it looks ugly... there is about 3/4 to an Inch Gap in the front between the hood and the ft bumper... on the sides around the head lights leave a gap about 1/2 inch or so... big enough to see into the hood looks very sloppy... For me to make the hood look descent. I had to Grind and elongate the second bolt hole on the hood mounts to be able to slide the hood forward some... NOTE* The second bolt holes on the stock Mazda hood mounts are not adjustable. Doing this fixed a huge majority of the gap in the front and a little on the sides... It just barley made it look nice... Now I know it’s an aftermarket hood so fitment is not going to be as good as stock.. But this is SEIBON.. One should expect more than what I got... So, when you get this hood you better have a good dremel with some carbide bits to grind the metal on the hood mounts to slide the hood forward. If you got one or have a buddy with one you can use.. You’re good to go...

I own this hood and I give it 3 out of 5 stars... the fitment is what killed it...

Oh yea one more thing... if you are unlucky like me and the hood fits badly. If you just bolt it on. When you close the hood.. BE CAREFULL it may rub the fender on the upper right side corner and scratch the paint in that area.. Elongating the second mount hole will to slide the hood forward will fix this as well... Other than the bad fitment..The hood rocks.....
Hope this helps....

That sucks, I didn't have any problems with it. Just make sure you buy it from seibon.com directly.

Lol... I got mine from Seibon directly.. went to pick it up from them in Walnut Ca...I Must say however... I did speak to a guy at 7stock this year who had the same hood... He said he had no problems at all just bolting it on.... I havent ran into anybody with the same issues as I have but then again how many people have this car with this hood...??....
