Underbody Light Install
ok, I know these things are super ricey and I would never ever EVER get one.. cause I wouldn't want to be called ricey..
But let's say I have this friend.. not really much of a friend since he's doing this.. but regardless. He has, oh, let's say an 04' rx8.. and he wants to add the Blazin LED kit. He has a couple questions for those of you other posers out there that might have done this.
Where did you run the wiring up into the car?
Did you run any wiring over the exhaust, and if so where did you do it?
Thanks,
Blacknoir.. wait.. I mean 'friend of BlackNoir'.. yeah.

For the wiring of the car, I'd think you could tap into the trunk wiring?

yeah, it would melt. An install site I looked at said you need to run the wires from Side A to Side B, going over the exhaust in a some sort of safe manner. Otherwise you need to find 2 inputs, 1 on each side of the car... hmmm..

when I had underglow on my [vehicle not to be named here] I ran power directly to the battery. I had the wires coming straight up into the engine bay from underneath the car. One wire on one side and then two wires (side and the rear) coming up the other. along with the front coming up. the rear I was able to run the wire high enough over the exhaust to where it wasn't affected. Don't know if that will help at all, but good luck. I have't seriously looked at puting underglow on the 8, so I am not sure of the best routes.

I zoom therefore I am.
perhaps you could talk your friend into just taping a whole mess of road flares under his car? would give the same effect with the added bonus of not having to wire anything.
all kidding aside (i wasn't kidding btw)
tap into the battery and run a line from there down both sides of the car. run a leg to a switch in the cabin so you can rice and de-rice the car at your (his) leisure.

I had a set on my 8 and you can run the cables up the sides like the previous poster said. I zip tied them to cables and lines already running under the car so they stayed well hidden. Its also easy to protect the lights except for the tube on the front so keep that in mind. There is no place to tuck the light that mounts on the front underbody so it will eventually be destroyed like mine was. The sides I tucked inside the MS side skirts and put the rear behind the heat shield of the exhaust.
Edit:
Here is a pic of it when I had them on my car..
